Are barbell rows supposed to be less than your bench press?!


Question: Are barbell rows supposed to be less than your bench press!?
Today i tried to max out at 225lbs and couldnt get it 225*3/4 on a flat bench i can do that for 4 reps and on a decline 6 reps!.

On the dumbbell rows i can do 100 for 5 reps and 120 for 2 reps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The answer is yes!. The part of that that's yes is because the bent over row is a pulling movement using a smaller set of muscles to preform then the flat bench!. I use a row machine of sorts!. The seating position is as you would position yourself to row but your seated and there's a pad for you chest!. That position and support will allow you to pull some serious weight!. I keep mine in the 125 to 140 range!. It's so comfortable I also like staying the the lower range and working it very slow and squeezing at the top of the movement!. Very effective!. I use that movement on back day which doesn't include a flat bench!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

that would be crazy if someone benched 700 pounds and was doing 700 pound rows lol
i can bench 225 or 230 max
and i row 165 4 times!.!.!.today i was feeling kinda week and i did 155 4 times but yeah
