Safety and benefits of Hot/Bikram yoga?!

Question: Safety and benefits of Hot/Bikram yoga!?
Two questions about Bikram yoga!.

1!.) Is it safe!? There is obviously the potential for problems when you exercise at such high temperatures, so what should be and is done to make this safe!? If there are any serious dangers, or have been any serious problems, please let me know!.

2!.) Is it beneficial!? Is it worth going to a class and working through the heat!? I enjoy other forms of yoga, and have found they're a great way to help repair my muscles after other types of workouts in addition to being a good workout on their own!. But does Bikram really provide much more either in healing or as a workout!?

Thanks in advance!. I'd especially appreciate answers from people who have actually tried it!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi
I attend hot yoga classes on a regular basis and can say from my experience that you get addicted to it!. After two pregnancies my body had really been out of form, but a couple of months of yoga has done a great job up of toning up, stretching, muscle and stamina building and also my energy levels have gone up!. Earlier I was seeing a chiropractor for some knee and shoulder pain, but after I have started practicing yoga on a regular basis I no longer have these pains!. Yoga has become a way of life - I personally think hot yoga is safer than other forms of yoga because other forms are practiced in air conditioned rooms where your body doesn't warmed enough and the risk of injury is higher!.

The only precaution you need to take is take longer exhalations during hot yoga and keep yourself well hydrated after the session with lots room temperature water!.

Hope this helps!.

It's safe for most healthy people!. If you have heart, blood sugar, or blood pressure issues, talk with your physician first!. Also, be sure you understand *healthy* hydration - if you sweat out a lot of fluid, you're going to need more than water!. Walk away if the instructor does not give you the hydration before and after class lecture!.

It's a workout!. It definitely loosens the muscles and helps a lot with flexibility!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Generally yoga is a method of keeping the mind and body simultaneously in a good manner!.!.

Attending a Yoga class will help you rather than learning through a DVD!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is safe and beneficial provided you understand the importance of regulating the breathing part of it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
