Everlasting weight plateau?!


Question: Everlasting weight plateau!?
Hi!. I'm 21, 5'1" and 135 lbs!.
My highest weight was 160 but I was able to lose 25 lbs by going vegetarian, cutting portion sizes, and taking walks with my dog/ going to the gym!.
I've been at 135 lbs for about 6 months!. I haven't gained anything, but I don't know what to do to lose more either!.!.!.
I want to get to 115 lbs & hopefully 125 by xmas to look slim for all the social events!.
Here is my typical day of food (& I excercise by walking, swimming, biking or the treadmill about 3x's a wk):
B: One piece of toast with margarine
L: 1/2 veggie sandwich with lettuce, tomato, onion, olives, mustard, and banana peppers
D: A beer & cooked veggies with a little bit of mashed potatoes!.

Your diet needs work!. Right now, your body is using the muscle for food!. It's going to eat away at the muscle before it starts to touch the fat reserves, especially if you go into starvation mode!.

Up your intake of protein!. It doesn't have to be meat!.!.!.go to your store and find some soy protein isolate!.

Eat six smaller meals a day, with lunch as your largest meal!. At night, if you're hungry, eat cottage cheese!.

Make sure your margarine doesn't contain hydrogenated oils!. They go straight to your *koo-koo!*!.

Switch to a light beer or drink water only!. Sprinkle in some green-tea, it's good once you get used to it!.

On a plateau, blast it! Confuse your body by mixing things up!. Don't do the same exercises over and over, go hard on a new routine one day, and then light on another routine the next day!. Keep one step ahead of your body, don't let it catch on to what you're doing or it'll find ways to cheat!.

i think you are going wrong with you breakfast and dinner options!.
make these two changes:

1) change breakfast to a bowl of cereal, reletively healthy cereal!.
2) do not drink the beer for dinner!. alcohol is really bad for diets!.

the rest is good!. i predicted weight loss should be maybe 2-4 lbs per week, depending on your metabolism and what other liquids you drink (no soda, lattes, milkshakes)!.

you are going wrong because your calories are wayyyyy too low!. its no wonder you aren't losing anymore!. and if you ate like this to achieve your "weight" loss i would venture to say it was from MUSCLE more so than from fat!.


at 135 lbs you should be consuming approx!. 1600 calories to ensure FAT loss!. you are nowhere near that!. the 1600 needs to have protein/less carbs/fats also!.

in the above, you have ZERO protein!.
