Hi there!. I actually lost 40lbs by modifying my diet and using weights!. It came off slowly (sometimes painfully slow!) but I accomplished it in about a year and I've managed to keep it off for another year! The key is to use low weight but do LOTS of repetitions!. Slow and steady movements each direction will do a world of good!. Cardio in addition to the weights probably would have helped me achieve my goals more quickly, though!.

For your diet, check out a site like Sparkpeople (link below)!. There, you can enter your height/weight, calculate your BMI and set healthy goals for weight loss (around 1-2 lbs per week)!. You will also be able to record your meals and exercise to help you stay on track!. The best part about sparkpeople is that it's completely free!.

Good luck! Just remember that getting up to go to the gym to exercise is probably the hardest part!. You'll be amazed at how much better you feel when you start making healthy choices for yourself!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

More than likely no because muscle weights more than fat so as you build up that muscle you will gain weight but you may lose actual body mass!. Also muscle requires more calories to maintain itself than fat does which mean most of the carbs you eat after gaining muscle will be used for maintnance and not get stored in the body as fat!. My wife has tried everything to lose weight but nothing has worked quite as effectively as the wu yi tea that she drinks, it's been covered on CNN and Fox News!. She worked off 8 pounds in five weeks!. She buys it off a colleague at work but I discovered this site in Google; www!.Wu-YiNow!.com - they have a free trial on at the moment, maybe they're worth a try!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
