before- if you workout after you eat, you can get a stomach ache and!. It's best to workout around at least 1 and a half hours after you eat a meal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
you should eat something small, i!.e!. half a banana!. about 30minutes before you work out!. and drink water, too!. you should also eat something small after working out to keep your metabolism going!

If you are lifting, eat before AND after!. If just doing some cardio, you might want to consider a light meal before but nothing too big!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
