i used to do sit ups
but a friend of mine told me they dont work and are bad for the back!

to be toned you need to include three things:
1)diet
2)cardio work
3)ab exercises
for ab exercises you could do:
crunches
reverse crunches
oblique crunches
leg raises
jackknife sit ups
research the internet with ab exercises or something along them lines, i'm sure you can find something useful, and good luck with the toning!Www@Answer-Health@Com

try overall weight training as it tightens your whole body!.!.
also u need a good eating plan!.!. good nutrition
you also need some cardio work!.!. to burn fat!.!.!. 3 times a week for 30 mins
you should also work the abs with weight resistance, not on the floor but on a ab bench holding a weighted plate, and or medicine ball!.!. u do not have to do as many reps and its faster because its weight resistanceWww@Answer-Health@Com

get a medicine ball (maybe 5 or 10 lbs) and do crunches with the medicine ball!. You can do them on the ground or on an decline bench!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
