How long should I wait to increase my running distnace?!


Question: How long should I wait to increase my running distnace!?
If I run 3 miles a day 6 days a week, how long until I can run a comfortable 5 miles a day 6 days a week!?

A good rule of thumb is to increase distance roughly 10% each week!. This is enough for the body to adapt without injury, assuming you warm up well before runs!. Listen to your body, it will let you know when to slow down!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm a high school cross country runner and every spring i get the privilege of starting back at one mile (i have to take a break over the winter because of my retarded knees)!. I usually add half a mile every week or two!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
