peanut butter, banana and fat free or skim milk blended is really good and loaded with protein that will keep you going for a while!. im not sure if youre looking for a substitute for a shake in general (because the option i gave you kind of IS a shake), so if youre looking for things you wouldnt need to blend, try a handful of almonds and an apple or banana with peanut butter before you work out or just start the dayWww@Answer-Health@Com
stuff with carbs, carbs are good for a pre work out food or beverage, as they give you a lot of energy and keep you filled up for a bit!.!. or perhaps you could eat something with protein in it!? =p
