Why has one of my biceps gotten bigger than the other one?!

Question: Why has one of my biceps gotten bigger than the other one!?
I always work out with the same weight for each bicep, but my left one has gotten significantly bigger than my right one over the past month (even though I'm right handed)!.

What can I do to effectively make my right bicep the same size as my left one!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
It is because you are right handed that your left is bigger!. Your right arm is significantly stronger than your left, so because you used the same weight for both, even though they had a strength difference, your left arm had to compensate for weakness, so it gained mass!. Your right arm was used to being worked with the amount of muscle it had, so it didn't need to get any bigger to support the weight!. I know this goes against a lot of things you've probably heard, but use a heavier weight for the right than you do the left!. They'll even out!.

***This is a very common thing!. I have guys in my gym, asking me this on a daily basis!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Even using the same weight and reps you can still 'favor' one side!. Now that you know which side that is, pay special attention to working it hard when you are doing your workout, feel the muscle working!. Also do excersies slowly (within reason), if you fly throught them momentum does some of the work and you will progress slower!. If yo uknow what your doing thats great but if you are at all unsure, get a trainer to go over basics with you, it helps a ton with injury prevention, getting the feel of the right movement/effort and understanding how to get the most out of your workout!.

You could work the left a little extra until it equals out, but dont over do it cause an injury would set you way back!.

Another A, you have asked a question that has been bugging me for more years than I care to remember!. To begin with I was, and for people who are familiar with leaders in bodybuilding and olympic weightlifting, still am considered to be a man to be respected !. I am not exaggerating when I tell you that my arms eventually grew to be 21 inches in circumference!. And mystery of mysteries my left upper arm was 21" and my right arm 20"!. I tried everything to correct the difference, but to no avail!. The problem persists to this day!. Added to that, my left arm is considerably stronger that my right arm!. And like you I am right handed!. Go figure!.
Well, I've grown old and things have naturally slowed and slimmed down to where size and strength have become much less important!. Look at it this way: I was respected, strong as a bull, took lip from no man, and made out like crazy with the ladies!. So the 1" difference between my arms really wasn't all that important!. Just keep at it!. Make your arms so impressive that nobody will even notice the difference!. One word of caution!. Stay away from anabolics!. My arms are still a source of pride, and while still huge they have never looked like they were chemically generated!. And believe me the "druggies" can be spotted in less than a second!. Anabolic freaks look !.!.!. freakish!? They look like skinless animated anatomy charts!. Good luck to you!. It sounds like you are well on your way!. MikeWww@Answer-Health@Com

well if you dont do the same amount of repetitions on each arm than it can make a difference because your working out one arm more than the other!. hence one being stronger because of the repeated weight!.
if your doing the same amount of repetitions on each arm that i dunno what to tell you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

the only thing i can think of is your stonger on one arm than the other so you work out one arm more than the other!. this happens alot with free weights!.if this is true maybe you should switch your routine to machines and good old fashion pushups and underhand grip pullups!.hopefully u can get even growth on your biceps!.good luck and keep hitting the gymWww@Answer-Health@Com
