Lose weight when your already in really good shape?!


Question: Lose weight when your already in really good shape!?
i run almost daily, i run 3mi in almost 18:30, im 5'8 and weight just over 135 pounds!. i want to get lighter because track seasons coming up so i can have a faster speed!. how can i lose weight without losing any of my muscle!?

i do core work every night, run about 5x a week, and ive been on a diet since april (pizza, pasta, and chicken, gotta have my carbohydrates!)Www@Answer-Health@Com

You wont get faster by losing weight from where you are if your already in hard training!. Try instead to cross-train!. Try a couple of major speed sports, and add them to the training your already doing!. Swimming for core and extremities, basketball for ankles and legs, gymnastics for everything anything that will help you!. Just don't lift bug weights in your arms and keep the legs in mobile exercises anything and your good( no bulk)
If you haven't already tried them here are a few other ways to give the extra speed!.
aerobic respiration- look it up if your a sprinter and even if you already know how then work on it, more efficiency more speed!.
Also do you know about hydration plans before a race, if not look them up, you can shave pounds of water and still be hydrated for race day on the right system
In short try other things, your already getting small for your size, don't push the weight thing to much!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You don't need to lose weight, look at the top sprinters in the world, they're all jacked! You need to modify your training depending on what events you will compete in during track season (obviously a shot putter will have a different workout vs a 100m runner vs a 3200m runner)!. I'm guessing you will run the 1600 and 3200m!. Do more speed work such as intervals!. Do some weight training especially lower body, but make sure you use correct form to avoid injury!. Talk to your track coach about what event you will be doing and how he recommends you prepare before the season!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you are 5'8" and 135 pounds (lots of it being muscle obviously) I don't think you have any weight to lose without losing muscle!. LoL I can run about 2 miles to your 3!.

As you would know, the only way to lose weight is to consume fewer calories than you burn!. Do the math and figure out what you are consuming and how many calories you are burning, and take it from there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if u do not want to lose your muscle!.!. then u need to do a bit of weight training

and u also need to consume more amino acids
like whey protein and glutamine as this will saturate your muscles more and stop them from breaking down!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
