Why am I losing weight? I am lifting weights to GAIN weight?!

Question: Why am I losing weight!? I am lifting weights to GAIN weight!?
I am 5 foot 10 and i used to weigh about 155 before school started this year!. then after thanksgiving, i thought i would weigh more, but i weighed 15 pounds less!. I am now at 142 ish!. I work out five times a week, doing a different muscle every day, and i even cut back cardio from three to two times a week!.
however, over the summer i was doing four days a week, with two muscle groups a day like bi and back or chest and tri!.
I feel like my workouts are now more intense for each muscle group, but wouldn't i be gaining weight!? i eat more, take whey protein shakes, etc!. at least i feel like i'm eating more!.
any insight would really helpWww@Answer-Health@Com

Muscle is harder to gain then fat!. Big time weight lifters add on about 10 pounds of muscle per year!. When working out your body tears the muscle(that burning sensation)!. Then while your body repairs the tissue it fills in the gap with added tissue!. So, as long as you give enough recovery time(sounds like your routine is solid) you should be okay!. But you only get about 10 pounds per year or less!. Your most likely thinking along the lines of how easy fat comes and goes!.!.!.!. and in the mean time you might be losing fat!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It takes a long time to develop muscle from work outs!. Make sure you leave enough time between workouts for your muscle tissue to repair itself otherwise you will not gain any muscle!. Also, you will probably be losing some body fat and eventually you will start to gain weight as you gradually increase muscle mass!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

to lift things you burn energy!.!.!. when you burn that energy you burn calories!.

cardialvascular cells infused with the motion of working out increases their movement throughout your body!. this is cause for much weight loss and increased motablism!. you should probably eat more food thats high in fat and colories and moderate protein!. protein makes you feel full so cut back on the whey shakes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you aren't eating enough!. Like everyone else has said lifting weights burns calories!. A lot more than cardio does!. Best rep sets for mass gain is 12-15 reps at 85% of your 1 rep max but you need to be eating double what you usually eat and take in 1-1!.5 grams of protein per pound of body weight!. So somewhere around 175-200 grams a day of protein plus a lot of calories and not just empty calories!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

whey protien is probably the worst protien to pick because it only has some of the amino acids you need and i guess it just means you need to work out harder and eat a lot more!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You will lose weight (from fat) before you start gaining it!. The best way to gain weight is to increase calorie intake to bulk up!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

gaining muscle weight takes a long time!. You can lift for months bofore gaining even 5 pounds of muscle!. But it doesn't take anywhere near that long to burn fat!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you have to burn all of the fat before you bulk up with muscle and gain weight maybe carbo load or somethin like eat a whole lot one day and stretch your stomach so you can eat even moreWww@Answer-Health@Com

its like the first person to answer said!. But if you seriously want to pack on some muscle you need to increase your protein intake!. And keep pumping the iron!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
