How much sit-ups or crunches burn 100calories!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
all activity burns calories!. plain and simple!.

when lying in bed "motionless," you are burning calories because your heart is beating!.

in exercising and fitness, you could argue that 3 categories of activities exist!. they would be:
1!. strength training (builds muscles)
2!. cardio-vascular (fat burning/endurance - burns the most calories in a given amount of time)
3!. stretching

sit-ups and push-ups would fall under strength training!. they don't burn as many calories in a given amount of time as, say, running or jogging, jumping rope, jumping jacks, stair climing, bicycling, swimming laps, etc!.

here's one way to think about it!. the more so an activity makes you sweat and puts you out of breath, likely the more calories you are burning doing it!.

after which would you likely be sweatier and/or breathing harder: running a six-minute mile or doing 40 push-ups!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Everything that requires added effort requires Calories!. How many you burn will depend largely on how effectively you do the exercises!. You'd burn just as many Calories doing 40 quality push-ups or sit-up as you would 100 sloppy ones!. As for the exact number needed to burn 100 Calories, that I can't tell you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sit-ups and Push-ups aren't a good way to directly burn calories, but once you build muscle from those strength exercises, you will start to burn more calories in general, because muscle burns more than fat!.

If you want to burn calories directly, try going for a walk, simple enough!. On average, 100 calories per mile!. =)Www@Answer-Health@Com
