What diet pills are safe and work?!

Question: What diet pills are safe and work!?
My friend has been dieting her entire life!. She has been to the doctor, tried tons of different diets, and still she has not lost any weight!. She eats a healthy diet and we exercise every day together!. She has had a problem with her weight since we were little girls!. She asked me about diet pills, and frankly I don't know anything about them!. Are there any out there that are safe and really truly do work!? I want my friend to be happy, and any [safe] boost I can give her would mean the world to me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The "best diet" is not a diet at all, its a way of eating for the rest of your life!.

As far as popular diets go, Atkins, Southbeach, Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, low cal, low fat etc etc!.!. they all work!.!.!. you have to 1!. follow them, and 2!. not go back to your old habits once you reach your goal!.

Everyone is a little different and may achieve their healthy weight down a different path!. Some things in common among the diets is cutting out sugary drinks like soda, and eating sugary desserts!. Another is excercise on a regular basis

I use "Strip that fat" program to achieve my goals!. It fit my personal tastes for food and I managed to lose 50 lbs in 6 months 5 yrs ago and keep it off!. For you it may be another method!. But something like the lemonade diet isn't a way of eating for life, and even if you stuck to it, once you went back to the old ways of eating, the weight would come back!.

I googled it and found their website: http://stripthatfat!.ask2ask!.comWww@Answer-Health@Com

Sadly, the vast majority of them all are frauds- at most, you may lose some water weight!. The diet pill industry is a suit and tie pushing business were naivete is the quota and money is the bottom line!. Because the FDA has no set regulations on herbal/ homeopathic remedies, the companies who manufacture diet pills are under no obligation to provide a product that works- and in some cases, can even cause harm!.
While some herbs and plant extracts have ben used successfully in a regimen of diet and exercise, there is no magic pill!. On top of that, the particular herbs and plants that supposedly work so well for tribesman in New Guinea or the Amazon, or whatever the company claims, are rarely the same form that you get when you pay a hundred bucks a bottle at walmart!.
Herbal medicines work in different ways, depending on what part of the plant you use- think of it this way- you could smoke all the stems in the world, but you aren't going to get high- the marijuana plant has only one part that contains the compound THC!. In that same way, herbal diet pills that stake claims on being used for centuries by nomadic tribes are generally not in any way shape or form remotely close to the part of the plant that actually has the caffeine like effect diet pills bank on!. There's no FDA regulations demanding they only use the correct portion or active portion of the plant- and since it's much more expensive to only use one particular portion of a fully matured plant, what you usually get in some ground up leaves, stems, roots, etc- and perhaps a tiny pinch of the effective chemical!.
Diet pills generally don't work- but the ones that do, usually only help you drop a few pounds b/c they give you such a jolt of energy (caffeine like substances) you're too hopped up to eat!.
The onyl way to truly drop those pounds is through diet and excercise- I know, I know, no one wants to hear it; but dem's just da breaks!.
On a side note:
There is a new pill called Alli that shows some promise!. Initially, it was a prescription-only medication that gained popularity due to it's success and has since been sold over the counter!. The over the counter version, Alli, is a lower mg, but works the same!. In combination with diet and excersise, it helps to block up to 30% of the fat your body would normally absorb when eating!. It does not work alone, and you have to make some serious committments to your diet when taking it, or you can have some nasty side effects; but over all, it's a great thing!.
here's a link to their site, in case you want to pass it on to your friend:
