It IS true!.

Water is good for you, only because it "flushes" your body!.

Think of your body as a beach!. Waste and important nutrients are the sand; and the ocean is water (Duhr! Just kidding!)!. You build a sand castle on the beach, and all the nutrients and what not build up!. The ocean rolls in and destroys the sand castle, so you can build another one and replenish it!. But each time waves come in, it only takes a little bit away--just enough that it can be restored before the next time!.

You flush important nutrients, and sodium out of your system, when you drink too much water over a short period of time by watering everything down so much!. Especially, if you do not eat enough to level out the balance!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The reason that too much water is bad for you does have to do with the electrolytes, like Sodium, Chlorine, Potassium and other ions, as well as sugars, amino acids, and other small molecules!. Your cells and the fluid surrounding them are whats called isosmotic, that is there is the same ratio of water to other small crap (ions, sugars, etc) inside the cell as outside!.

When you drink a lot of water, you dilute the fluid surrounding your cells!. Suddenly there is less crap in the fluid outside the cell than there is inside the cell!. Water doesn't like this difference, so it tries to minimize the difference by flowing across the cell wall!. The problem is, since the small crap (ions, etc) have a harder time getting out of cells than water has getting in, there is a net flow of water into the cell!. This causes the cells in your body to inflate!.

If the osmotic pressure (as it's called) is great enough, your cells will start to burst!. Typically this happens to runners who lose a lot of sodium and other minerals by sweating, then drink hyposmotic water (with too little crap in it)!. Their blood cells begin to distend and burst, causing acute anemia!. I think only a handful of people have actually been known to die this way though!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Definitely true!. Your body is made of mostly water, but it's not pure water!. There is a lot of stuff in your body fluids, called electrolytes (like what's in Gatorade)!. If you drink too much water, you will water down your body fluids and your body can no longer function properly!. It takes a lot of water, though!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well!.!.!. yes!.
A kid in my old school died because he was drinking to try and wash drugs out of his system for a test!. So I know that it can happen!.
You can drown yourself by overdoing the whole water thing!.

But I'm sure everything will be okay as long as you stick on the recommended 8 glasses per day and don't chug weird amounts of water for fun/etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It most certainly can be bad!. It can kill you!. It can cause your brain to swell and lead to your death ultimately!.
Here is just one example

I'm no doctor or anything, but 75% (!?) of your body is made up of water, and consuming so much water could in words "drown" you!?
Not really positive!. My brother said something about that before and he's an RN!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
