Is a nutri-grain bar a good snack for when on a diet?!


Question: Is a nutri-grain bar a good snack for when on a diet!?

I imagine it has alot of sugar in it!.!. check the back and see how many kcals or grams of saturated fat it has in it!.!. a special k bar or alpen bar would probably be a better alternative!.

hmm see, it has 140 calories which isnt too bad, but the first 2 ingredients are syrups!!.!. not good!. If you want to snack why not try eating a bag of Twiglets or some unsalted popcorn!. Unsalted nuts and seeds are good for you! Natural yogurt and dried fruits (and of course just fruit!.) In fact you are porbably better off eating a small piece of dark chocolate than eating a cereal bar!

A better option would be a piece of fruit or a low carb protein bar (Atkins, Mex Rx, and others make them)!. Also carrots, celery, and other fresh foods make good snacks, are high in water content and low in calories!.

Many snack bars are high in sugar, and have more calories per volume than someone watching their weight would probably care to consume!. Read your labels and learn what to look for!. ?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Most of these 'cereal bars' are really unhealthy and FULL of sugar!. Read the packaging carefully!. I'd steer well clear of things like nutri-grain, alpen bars, special k bars etc etc

Not really!. They're not as healthy as the package suggests!. Last time I looked they had around 120kcals in them!. Take a look at the sugar count too, I'm sure there's quite a bit!. It's bascially just processed rubbish!. If you're feeling healthy grab a banana or a couple of satsumas!.

Yeah, probably alright!. Just don't overdo the snacking, if you're on a diet, the best thing is to not snack!.
