What are some cheaper, healthier foods I can buy to make meals with?!

Question: What are some cheaper, healthier foods I can buy to make meals with!?
I basically need a grocery list of things to buy that are healthy to make different sorts of meals with, on a tight budget!. I have searched everywhere and all I find is recipes of meals that I have no idea what the ingredients are or how to find them, not to mention how expensive each one would be! If anyone has a certain grocery list that is healthy and budget friendly for two adults, and would like to share it with me I would be very appreciative!

Foods we both like: Boneless skinless chicken, hamburger, pork, potatoes, onions, corn, green beans, broccoli, peas, rice ETC!.

(Is it cheaper/healthier to buy veggies/meats frozen or canned/packaged!?)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Tips:
Store brand frozen vegetables (& fruits) in bag is cheaper than canned or fresh because you can buy in bulk and freeze them for a while!.

Also you can buy lean ground beef and freeze it!. I take the bulk size ground beef from warehouse stores and when I get home separate it into smaller sizes put in ziplock baggies or tin foil!. Easier for defrosting and using as needed per meal!.

Get the bag of frozen chicken tenders or breasts!.

If I had no food in my house this is what my list would look like:
whole grain pasta (macaroni, bow tie, corkscrew)
spaghetti pasta
frozen cut broccoli
white &/or brown rice
frozen corn on the cob
frozen sliced carrots &/or vegetable medley
canned/jar pasta sauce (you can add meat later)
bag of potatoes
powdered instant gravy
powdered instant pasta sauces (like herb & garlic)
1% milk
fortified Orange Juice
No sugar added Apple Juice
carton of eggs
canned Chunk light tuna
canned low sodium black beans
canned black eye peas (beans)
Light sour cream
Ican't believe it's not Butter spread
Extra virgin Olive oil (for cooking)
Whole grain wheat bread
reduced fat peanut butter
fruit preserves (strawberry or raspberry!?)
non fat yogurt (vanilla!?)
graham crackers
flour or corn tortillas
low fat shredded cheese bag or block of cheddar
whole grain english muffins
apples
oranges
bananas
yellow onions
tomatoes
Green leaf lettuce
store brand boxed Cereal
raisin Oatmeal instant

including the meat discussed above!. Sorry, that's about all I can remember right now!. Maybe you don't use my big list, but hopefully there's some things that you can take from it!. Happy Shopping!

I have one! It's super cheap to make!. Not sure on how healthful it is, but it's really satisfying, and it's definitely not the most unhealthful food!. :P

Chinese chicken noodles:

One bag of spaghetti noodles!. Don't use angel hair, it doesn't work!
One can of cream of chicken soup!.
One can of chicken broth!.
Some olive oil!.
Some soy sauce!.
Chicken, chopped into small pieces!.
Chopped hard boiled eggs!.
Chopped green onions!.

Cook the spaghetti noodles!. While waiting, cook the chicken in olive oil and soy sauce!. When the noodles are ready, drain them, and add the chicken broth and chicken!. Put on low heat, and add everything else, and add however much soy sauce is desirable!.

Trust me, it's delicious! Everyone likes them! :]Www@Answer-Health@Com

Okay, so it's usually cheaper to buy veggies frozen and it's just as healthy usually(unless they are "prepared" i!.e!. steam in the bag or buttered, etc)!. It's actually cheapest to buy veggies from a farmers market and ditto for fruit!. My local Albertsons has ground chicken breast behind the meat counter and I use this a substitution for hamburger in all my recipes, it's healthier and I hate hamburger anyway!. My husband and I eat variations of grilled/baked chicken breast and rice with veggies several times a week and it doesn't get tiring!. I usually buy a lot of chicken breast when it is on sale and keep it frozen until the next big sale!. I broil it, bake it, or grill it!. Sometimes I use a low-cal marinade and sometimes I glaze it or add sauce during cooking!. I usually keep some marinading in the fridge at all times!. I've been known to make my own marinade with whatever citrus fruit I have on hand, garlic, and onion or wershteshire sauce or soy sauce!. I try to use brown rice as it is better for you and I steam, grill, or bake veggies that are in season!. I love asparagus season because I love to bake that in aluminum foil with just a little butter and garlic, YUM!
The key is to use as little "prepared" foods as possible and keep it simple!. There are a ton of healthy recipes out there if you just google "healthy and cheap recipes"!. You'll be amazed at what pops up!.

The key to saving money is to shop at more than one store!. Follow the sales!. Also, don't be afraid of farmers markets and "healthy stores" such as trader joes or sprouts!. I have found some amazing sales at both!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
