Question: What healthy way can I lose about 10 pounds!?
I am a ballet dancer and I am about 5'7 or so and I weigh 125 pounds!. I am muscular, but I have a little bit more fat than I want!. I feel very uncomfortable without a black sheer skirt and a black long sleeved shirt on!. Honestly I don't look fat, I am skinny, but not quite where I want to be!. Mainly in my thighs and a little bit on my stomach and arms!. I am wanting to lose around 10 pounds or so!. Whatever it takes to make me the size I want to be!. No matter what, I don't want to be anorexic or anything!. I just want to slim a tad bit!. Especially like I said, my legs!. I am trying to watch my fat grams and eat healthier foods!. I get a ton of exercise two days of the week, but other than that I don't do much other than stretch!. Its not where I can just run around the block a few times or anything, but I wish I could!. Any suggestions on eating habits/exercise that are good for a dancer to lose weight in under a month!? Thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

1) Exercise for one hour every day!. if you can't do a whole hour than mix it up with some moderate intensity cardio every day with some full-body strength training a couple times a week!. The cardio gets the fat, while the strength training will boost your metabolism!.

2) Cut back to 7 calories per pound of your current weight!. Once you achieve your goal adjust to 12 calories per pound to maintain the weight!. As always, check with your doctor before starting a diet!.

3) Try 3 different cardio activities a week!. Variety is the spice of life!. Swim one day, play tennis another day!. Even washing the car or vacuuming the house can be a spontaneous exercise that can count towards that also!.

4) 5 Small meals a day! This is better than 3 meals a day which gives your body time to get hungry for snacks!. It gives your energy a boost!. Meals should consist of a combination of carbs and protein, which will help you feel full and keep your energy high!.

5) Use Psychological tricks! Buy yourself a ring or bracelet that will remind you when you are reaching for food that you need to stay on track!. Make it a symbol of your success!. You can do it! Imagine when you don't take that snack that the fat is just melting off your body!. When you are sore from working out, think of it as proof that you are making progress!.

6) Cheat a little!. One day a week you can earn a cheat meal!. Moderation is the key here!. You need the little prizes to keep you motivated!. When you achieve certain number goals treat yourself to a night at the movies, or a reason to shop for new shoes!.

7) Get a makeover before you reach your goal!. No need to wait until you achieve that number on the scale!. Get a new haircut, do your nails, whatever to make yourself feel better and to help build the confidence and motivation to keep your weight loss on track!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds like you've got it under control and you just need to cut a bit of fat with some cardio!. Don't quote me on this, but I think that for you, having a lower calorie diet with some rigorous exercise is the way to go!. But only until the fat is gone!. Never, ever starve yourself!.

Talk to people with the same goals, either online communities, online friend or forums, or people you can train with!.
Make yourself small goals and allow yourself to cheat twice a week, this keeps you focused when you indulge sometimes!.
