Work out everyday is bad? or what..?!


Question: Work out everyday is bad!? or what!.!.!?
Hi!. I'm 17 and i've been working out with like push ups, and alot of chin ups and pull ups!.!.after work out i take some protein shake!. when i first started working on chin ups and pull ups, the first couple of days i was pretty sore!. now when i wake up the next days, i'm not sore anymore!. I heard that if you work out everyday it's bad for your body, but since i'm not sore, is it ok if i work out every day!?!? i'm trying to increase strength and muscle size!.

You're not going to increase your muscle size much by doing body weight movements!. You need to hit the gym!.

It's bad for your body to do the same muscle groups every day, because it wears down on the joints and causes overtraining!. Your muscles get to a point where you're just as catabolic as anabolic, if not moreso!. Meaning that they're breaking down just as much or more than they're building up!. There are studies that show that training every day for up to a week, then taking about a week off can lead to even better gains than doing the 1-2 days off between concept, but there's still the joint problems that arise from this!. What I'm saying is, take 1-2 days off before working the same muscle group and get a gym membership!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

At your age it is o!.k!. but as you get older(past 30) every other day to allow your muscles to rest!. You at that age should develop a routine that works the upper body as well as the legs plus running, jumping and other cardio workouts!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i no how u feel i force myself 2 take at least 1 rest day every 3 days or so, cause what they say is probly true,,, man work out like a few days then take a rest then continue u gotta force urself 2, lol ur not being lazy dw yea ull prob see better results

Working out every day is fine in my opinion (a lot of people disagree)!. Working the same muscles through the same exercises every day however is usually less fruitful than working out every other day!. It gets complicated but the idea is that eventually your body stops recovering fast enough to keep up with the damage that exercising does to it!. Most people don't exert themselves at such a high intensity without rest and proper nutrients but it's worth keeping in mind anyway!. So if you want to work out every day then do different exercises every day otherwise just do it every other day, possibly taking the weekends off if you do full body workouts!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
