OHHH, Dieters, help me, im soooo frustrated?!

Question: OHHH, Dieters, help me, im soooo frustrated!?
ok, i posted a question earlier yesterday about the same thing but I just fail to understand this!. I'm on a diet and exercise program!. I eat anywhere from 1000 to 1500 calories a day on any given day, and my BMR says I burn 1800 calories just to maintain my body weight!. I also go to the gym and do other activities such as, yesterday I walked 5 km uphill (i climbed san cristobal hill in santiago chile) and another 5 km down jogging and walking (HIIT)!. I KNOW i burnt at least 750-1000 calories doing that!. But the scale today showed an INCREASE in weight !.!.!.not much, but still enough to bother me!. I did drink a lot of liquid last night (2 liters of liquid actually) and ate at 11pm (that's what time i got home and i had to feed my muscles with lean protein!.!.tuna) but, Its just frustrating to see a gain when you work SOOOO HARD!.

has this happened to you!? does the weight start going down again!? :(Www@Answer-Health@Com

Overnight increases in body weight are nothing to worry about!. Most likely, it's fecal matter or water!. To spike up overnight in fat doesn't happen!. Just as losing weight takes time, so does gaining it!. I would say, that since you were so active yesterday, you may have some inflammation in your muscles, which means in part that your body is cushioning them with a little water!. Try weighing yourself immediately before exercising, and then immediately after: you'll find you're heavier after, most likely!.

I think your body is probably still processing what you ate yesterday, and also is hanging on to a little water!. So yes, it will go away!. And yes, this is a very common frustration!. What you should do is program yourself either not to be bothered by small variations in the scale, because they can and do happen and often have nothing to do with getting fat or gaining fat, or otherwise you should only weigh yourself once a week, under as close to the same circumstances as possible (i!.e!., first thing in the morning, naked, after you pee)!. This will give you a better indicator of your actual weight!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

!.!. it's simple your eating to few calories your body adapts to starvation and a couple things it does is it stops the production of alot of hormones specifically thyroxine and so your BMR can drastically get lower, and adapts to very low intakes as yours by using amino acids from your muscles for energy instead of triglycerides from your fat cells, so your new bmr is probably burning around 1000 or so and you are gaining weight everytime you eat above that because your body thinks your starving and automatically hordes any triglycerides into white fat bodies and converts any glycogen in can into fat chains!.!.!. what you want to do is slowly increase your calorie intake untill your at your maitenance and stay on it for a couple weeks or so and then cut calories again!. Your MAITENANCE not your bmr!.!.

!.!.!. you are NOT gaining muscle if your eating below your bmr chances are tho alot of the weight you "gained" is just water weight toss the scale and measure your bodyfat %'s insteadWww@Answer-Health@Com

I don't know about your scale, but my scale can easily show 3 pounds of difference even if I step off it and back on again!. Most scales are just not that accurate!. Try it out!. Put most weight on your toes!. Read weight!. Then put most weight on your heels!. Read weight and compare!. If it's not the same weight then your scale is not that reliable!.

In addition water does weight a lot!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have had this happen to me several times and it gets very discouraging, just don't give up!.!. From what I have been told is your gaining muscle and muscle weighs more than fat!. And once you build muscle, it burns fat more quickly!. After the first week, it generally has taken me about 3 weeks to see any kind od satisfying results!. It is definitely tough but keep doing what your doing and hang it there!! Good luck!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

it might be because you're gaining muscles since you work out and all!. Muscles weigh more than fat so that may explain it!. This is a good thing though!. they say it's always better to use a tape measure than a weighing scale!. Weight can be very tricky!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

after all the exercise and diet program you on, and still gain weight, then what you are doing is wrong!. right!? for now you have to get the right diet!. and rule of thumb you are not suppose to eat after 7pm!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You do know that muscle weighs more than fat don't you!?!?!?
So if you are doing all that work then it's most likely you are building up muscle which weighs more than fat!Www@Answer-Health@Com

alright i agree with the other guy you are very pretty :)
but thats off topic!.
weight gains are confusing i mean it could just be muscle gains!. maybe the scale is not accurate!. but if your doing everything right (watching what you eat and exercising enough) then you will see results!. trust your eyes not the scale!.!.
although im a guy and you might think its different for girls!.!.!. i dont ever look at the scale unless im curious!. i do bodybuilding and people tell me i have a great body I look in the mirror and i see ya a good bod but room for improvement and thats what i like! thats what keeps me going! heres a quote i really like "show me a man who is completely satisfied with his body and in return i will show you a failure" Why do I like it!?!? because when I wake up in the morning and look at myself i say wow andrew you gotta work on those abs some more and thats what gives me motivation!. without motivation there is no pump and no excitement so what it all breaks down too is just enjoy working out, eat natural and healthy, and your body will treat you as good as you treat it!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

the problem may just be your caloric intake!. If you are fairly active and it sounds like you are but you aren't getting enough calories, your body can go into starvation mode!. When this happens your body won't burn fat, in fact it will try to store more fat!. Pretty much your body thinks there isn't enough food to sustain you so it has to resort to storing as much as it can in your body to help sustain you!. When my boyfriend and i where loosing weight because of his job he was more active!. He was eating 2000 calories a day while my intake was at 1200 a day because I didn't get as much activity in my day like he did!.

Keep your activity level where it is, just up your calorie intake!. This may just be all you need to tweak!. Other things you may try is to check your food labels and make sure you aren't eating overly salty foods!. Other than adding a risk of high blood pressure, salt can make your body retain water, and if you are retaining, again your body won't be burning fat as efficiently!. Again your weight might go up because of the excess water!.

Also graze during the day, split up your meals!. 6 smaller meals help your metabolism increase apposed to the traditional 3 meals a day!.

A good metabolism booster is to have a cup of coffee before your workout!. Yes it's a diuretic, but contrary to popular belief it won't dehydrate you if your already chugging water like there's no tomorrow, and it's much better for you then an energy drink as long as skip on the creamer and sugar!.

The last thing (and should only be last resort) is you may have hit a plateau!. You can take one day off of your diet and eat what you want, and go right back on it the next day!. The excess amount of calories will shock your system into going there's way too much and it needs to burn, and burn it will!.

I am willing to bet it's one of the the first two though!. Try that first, and see how it goes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
