If I start exercising 4-5days per week, will I lose weight?!

Question: If I start exercising 4-5days per week, will I lose weight!?
I've been struggling with my weight for a very long time!. I'm 21 years old and VERY heavy!. I'm about 100lbs more than my "idea" "normal" weight!. NOT GOOD!. Right now I am the heaviest I've ever been!.

I've tried every diet in the book!.!.!.but the thing is, I dont eat that badly! I eat a lot of vegetables (Mom was a vegetarian, so we always ate veggies), I hardly eat any red meat (dont like it) Occasionally I eat chicken!. I try to get my protein through nuts and beans and yogurts and such!. I recently purchased a condo with my boyfriend!. I am in charge of grocery shopping and I do not buy junk food! I dont drink soda or juice - only water!. Theres not a heck of a lot I can change as far as my eating goes!. I've even been to a nutritionist and I follow her directions when planning most of my meals!.

The HARDEST thing for me is EXERCISE! Never in my life have I been able to stay on an exercise plan!. I'll go to the gym one day randomly and insist that I'm going to start going every day, but it never happens!! I always find some reason not to go!.

On saturday I went to the gym with a friend from work!. after 1/2 hour I was ready to leave - I was out of breath, sweating!. When I told her i was going to get going she said 'no'!. And I'm really glad she did becuase I stayed for 2 hours and it felt GREAT!. Yesterday (monday) I had a headach, my nose was a little stuffy, and I've got my female "time of the month"!. I wanted nothing more than to just go home and lay down!. But I went to the gym and worked on the tredmil for 25 minutes and the elyptical for 15!.

Today I'm going to the gym again with a friend!.

If I start exercising 4-5 days per week, do you think I'll see results!? I realize everybodys body is different but - how long do you think it will take for me to see results!?

I do cardio at the gym and I have 5lb weights that I just bought!. My plan is to go to the gym every other day and do cardio and on the days that i'm not at the gym - I'll do the weights I have at home!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you're this motivated, yes you will definitely lose weight if you keep this plan!. I mean, it definitely seems like you can't do anything to your diet -- unless you reduce what you eat by half!. Especially, don't eat out!. You have no idea how much MSG they put into the food that you don't know about!.
Secondly, you'll start to see results instantly! If not in your weight, you'll feel healthier and have more energy (after the first few hell-like days of groaning, cramps, and muscular aches)!. You'll see your weight fluctuate at first (gain weight, lose weight) but it'll steady out as you consistently keep to your plan!. Body weight tends to normalize itself (as in, there is a set body weight) so I will definitely not quit once you reach your ideal weight!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if u stick to it and eat healthy then sure u will lose weight!. Its all about the calories u put in to urself vs the calories u burn off!. If the calories u burn off exceedes the calories u put in then u will surely lose weight!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Why are you making things difficult for yourself!?

You have to find many reasons to exercise but ONLY ONE reason to go for it!.

So Exercise consistently!. My dear!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Losing weight is not associated with exercises!.!.!. Exercises will keep you health!.

Work on your diet!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Exercise has to be accompanied by a diet!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes you will lose weight and you will notice a decrease in size (boobs, butt, and hips are usually the first to go) but it is not going to happen fast!. The first few weeks you are going to lose alot of weight (mostly water weight) then you are going gain a few pounds of muscle which is good muscle burns more calories than fat!. Then you will hit a hump where no matter how much you work out you wont lose anything, but after you get over that hump expect the weight to come off again and your body will start getting more defined!.
The best thing for you right now is you have a support person to keep you motivated and keep you at the gym!. stick to your diet and good luck it's not easy but you'll lose the weight!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Theoretically, the way to lose weight is to use more calories through the aid of exercise than you consume in a day while still eating at least enough calories to maintain your ideal weight given your specific metabolism!. There was a recent study, however, that claimed that diet is more important at controlling weight than exercises!. Since you say your diet is under control, I have to wonder about your thyroid!. I would suggest getting it checked to rule that out!.

I know, I cant lose without ridiculous amounts of cardio!. I used to run a minimum of 12 miles a day/7 days a week in order to control my weight!. I tried many things and that was the only one that worked for me!. My thyroid was within normal ranges, I controlled my eating, my diet was low fat and still couldnt lose!. Running was the only thing that worked!. So, I understand your frustration!.

You should know, though, that whereas weight loss may or may not come along with your exercise regiment, you WILL see results!. You'll be more fit!. You'll feel better!. You'll have more energy!. You'll be stronger !. !. !. !.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Good for you, you will definitely lose weight if you keep at it!. regarding the weights, its best to start at a lower weight, not 5 pound, but rather 2 or3 pounds, so you don't get bulky and too muscular, unless that is what you want!. You should start to see small results in about 2 weeks!. a month and you'll be able to see a big difference at 4-5 times a week!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your legs are your biggest muscle group!.!.!.so to get the best and fastest results they need to be exercised!.!.!.since running may be hard on you and for you, you may try swimming!. It'll work your leg and arms!.!.!.Once your weight comes down some, you can try some other traditional exercises!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you want to lose weight, you need to change what you're eating!. Nuts are really yummy and can be healthy, but they are extremely fattening!. If you work out too much and don't watch what you eat, you can eat more than you work off!.!.!.cardio makes you hungry!. I'm currently doing Weight Watchers!. I just had my 3rd baby and it's what I do to lose the extra weight!. It teaches you how to eat and gives you tools to let you know exactly how much food you personally can eat to lose weight!. I went to the grocery last week and looked to buy nuts for a snack!. W!.W!. uses a points system!.!.!.!.nuts have an extremely high pts!. value at a very small portion size!. You'll end up hungry again very soon!. Join Weight Wathcers and you will see the weight melt off!. And you'll be healthy b/c you'll learn how and how much to eat!.!.!.you can eat whatever you want on the program too!. Check it out!Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you are truly eating very healthy you could not be 100 pounds overweight unless you have a serious metabolic problem (thyroid problem)!. You should first see a doc and have them run a T3 and T4 test to see if you have hypothyroidism!.

In order to lose one pound of real fat, 3,500 calories must be taken off!. This is a scientific fact!. If you cut some calories in your meals and then burn 500 calories (50 min of intense exercise ), then you would burn exactly one pound a week if you exercised like that for one week!.

It is also possible to "eat healthy" and eat too much! For instance if you get a nice healthy grilled chicken salad ,and go for Ranch or Blue Cheese dressing (2 packs) that is nearly 50-60 grams of fat and a thousand calories just for that!.

I will assume your age is 30!? and your height is 5'6!?!?Okay, then you can have nearly 2800 calories to stay the same weight!. That means in order to reduce, it must be less than this number!.
Again check your thyroid, because if you are not underestimating your true calories and fat, then again it is probably your thyroid or you would't be this overweight!.
Good luck 2 u !
Also-make sure you arent getting fried chicken and fried fish!.!.!.those are just as bad as hamburgers!. and nuts are also very high in fat and should be monitored to one-two handfulls a day!. Opt for Turkey breast or grilled chicken for a good lowfat protein!.
***Make sure to add weights to your routine to ensure you don't lose muscle weight, that will make you look flabby!. It is better to be firm!. Also , people with slightly more muscles always burn more calories than people without it ! 2-3 pound weight will feel like pencils to you and you will be basting your time!. Minimum 5 pounds is needed for biceps, and triceps!.!.!.I hope you got personal trainer! to help you with more detailWww@Answer-Health@Com

I'm in the process of losing weight, in addition to changing my eating habits I have started going to the gym and like you it was really hard for me too!.

I was told that I should go 3 times a week and it has really helped to keep me losing weight and yes I have miss a few session due to feeling like crap but I think that ok as long it's not too often!.

I tried to have set days where I go to he gym and I found that really helped because your mind is thinks right today is a gym day and I'm going to go and I found that really helped!.

You sound like you're doing all the right things so going to the gm should help you lose weight, perhaps you could get some personal training, I did that just once and they came up with a plan just for me to help me achieve my goals and you should just have to have a follow up every 6 weeks or so just to check you're progress!.

I hope this helped, good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
