Question: How can I lose 30 lbs despite meds which make me exhausted!?
I never had a problem with weight now i got a ''big problem!.!. '' I need to lose 30 lbs!.!. I want to!.!.!. and I guess I need to!.!. I take most of the blame!.!. but ever since I have been put on Effexor 75 mgs that is a medication which makes me tired !.!.!. sleepy !.!. and it increases my appetite!.!. I never had a problem with weight before I got on this medication!.!. the problem is!.!. I need anti anxiety meds which are also pain killers!.!. as I was diagnosed with GAD!.!. I have no symptoms of Anxiety!.!. but get horrible chest pain and shortness of breath if I don't take medication!.!. so i definitely need to be on medication!.!. Clonazepam!.!. that worked well for me, I never gained weight, then I became tolerant after 6 years of taking this and my doctor added Effexor 75 mgs!.!. one capsule a day!.!. and ever since then I felt sluggish and my weight has balooned out of control!.!.!. now I am going on the treadmill 30 mins each day!.!. I burn 170 calories!.!. How can I get more self control when it comes to eating and what can i eat if I am hungry in order not to gain but to lose weight!.!. I want to lose 30 lbs!.!.!.I used to be on the low side of normal!.!. now I am on the high side of overweight I definitely don't want to cross that line and become obese!.!. I want to lose 30 lbs!.!. that puts me at least back into ''normal weight!.!.''
Any suggestions!? I don't binge, I guess I lack self control and eat chocolate and crackers!.!.!. I don't overeat!.!. I eat the wrong stuff and the meds don't allow me to be active enough to burn what i eat!.!.so I need a diet and I need to go on working the weight off on the treadmill!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

eat natural, simple, and fresh foods!. There is a new diet out there called "The Asian Diet" which seems to work pretty well and is balanced!. There are two books out on it, one is a cookbook and the other describes the principles of the diet!. I would not recommend diet pills, supplements, or any fad diet (they are usually very unbalanced)!. Avoid heavy and sticky foods (the way foods are outside the body is how the are inside the body and you already feel heavy and stuck)!. Eat mostly vegetables, mostly cooked, no diet foods, no dairy, a little meat, and more simple grains (more rice, less bread and pasta)!.

Get some exercise every day, even if it's just one minute!. One minute is better than none!. Vary the exercises you do!.

Ok listen i wanted to loose about the same amount of weight! Ive always been so petite and cute but recently ive been gaining and gaining!. But im on a diet that seems to work!. well ive tried another one too that also works!. Ive tried both the 1200 calorie diet and the special k diet!.

1200 calorie diet- this diet is pretty good i mean basically yu can eat anything yu want all day just yu cant go over your daily 1200 calories!

special k diet- this diet basically works so that you eat special k cereal for breakfast and lunch!. yu get to have one of the snack bars in between breakfast and lunch and then between lunch and dinner!. Then for dinner yu can have whatever yu want!. yeahs its pretty cool!. =)


Excercise- walk around with friends, play with dogs, take a jog, dance to your music, ride a bike go rollor skating!. Everything burns calories!. EVERTHING! But its the amount that needs to be burned!.

Calories to be burned-

Food Intake: 1,200 Per Day

One Pound equals 3,500 Calories

To loose one pound per day, You need to burn your food intake plus your one pound of fat

1,200 (intake) + 3,500 (Outtake) = 4,700 Calories Burn

You must burn at least 4,700 Calories everyday to loose one pound at least!. It is very easy to go up and beyond 4,700 calories each day!.

Tips-
*Eat a good breakfast because its whats fuels yer body for the day!.
* Dont eat passed 8 pm
* cut out soda
* if your going to have a chocolate bar only have half one day and the other half another day
* cut out some bread( dont ever do it)
* Morning time eat cereal or oatmeal!.
* excercise with a buddy
* track how many calories your loosing
* DONT GIVE UP WHEN IN GETS HARD!!!

I started to go to the gym to work out, lost about 7 - 10 pounds of Fat in a month, although i was drinking Muscle & Fat shakes, mixed with protein powder, eating loads

So it's if you have the body fat to lose, for someone like you i'd recommend running & swiimming they say they burn the most caloriesWww@Answer-Health@Com

I think it's amazing that you're exercising 30 minutes every day! That's really a great start!.

You mentioned that you don't know how to curb your craving but you're not overeating!? You may be without realizing it!. I've heard a lot of people give the advice to think before you eat, i!.e!.stop for at least a minute and ask yourself if you really want to eat that chocolate, cracker, etc!. I've tried that a lot lately and it really helps!. Half the time I'm bored and reaching mindlessly for chocolate!. I'd rather day dream about skinny thighs for 30 seconds then eat that piece of chocolate!

Also, I've been losing weight on SENSA and the main thing I've noticed is that it has really curbed my overeating and curbed my mindless snacking (4pm onwards is a killer for me) and that when I sprinkle it on everything it really makes me lose interest in what I'm eating after a bite or two!.
