Question: I Need To Gain Weight!!!!?
I've been really skinny since i was kid, and I've tried everything to gain weight!. protein, vitamins, eating like crazy, working out, all that stuff but i still look like a twig!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Eat more food!.

You have to keep track of your diet, using a nutrition-tracking program or one of the free, browser-based diet trackers that are available online!.

Unless you have accurate records of your daily caloric intake and your macronutrient ratios (the ratio of protein to fat to carbs in your diet), you won't be able to make the adjustments necessary to gain muscle mass!.

You can't gain 10 pounds of muscle unless you gain at least 10 pounds of body weight!. Simple right!?

So, start by tracking your diet!. Calories are what you need, not protein!. After you are gaining weight steadily, you can add some strength training workouts!.

The way I put on weight in muscle was ;
1) Hit the gym - read up on what exercises build muscle mass, most of the muscles by 12 reps, only the abs and calves to 15 and more!.
2) Pile on the protein ( what worked for me was that if I wanted to be 65kg, then I had to eat like a 65kg- hope that makes sense)
3) Rest! muscles grow when in rest, not at the gym!.
4) Work the mind as much as the body, work on plans, visualization techniques, like any olympian does!.
Whatever you decide to do, remember we need to push our bodies to the limits before it starts to change!. If we are in our comfortable zone, there won't be much changes happening!. And treat the pain(not the "sharp" dangerous kind) as a sign of growth!. All these have to work in tandem, the progress may be slow but keep at it and with every other successful person, once you keep at it, you'll get there!. Faster, Better results are always when we do all the exercise, food nutrition, rest and mind programs in tandem with a clear goal!.
