Thats because they little eating such a small amount, if at all, that their body starts to eat off of itself!. Not a pleasant thought I know!. What many fail to realize is that it starts by eating the vital muscles and organs first before it goes to fat and that is just one of the reasons why anorexia is so dangerous!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Because when most people don't eat, they don't eat for 2 days, (or they eat like 200 cals a day) and then they decide to go to an all you can eat buffet coz they can't take it anymore!. And all you can eat buffets make EVERYONE gain weight!.

simple, when you don't eat long enough the brain goes into major survival mode getting any nutrients it can get by eating your own fat away and when the fats gone it eats away whats left and eventually your organs and you'll die(BUT THAT'S IF YOU'RE REALLY INTO THE NOT EATING THING) but you'll get skinny in the process!. but its true if you eat only every 4 hours or so, your metabolism slows and you get more fat, so by eating somethinG(anything from grapes, a salad, a energy bar, ETC)!. at least every 2-3 hours your metabolism goes faster having you get more skinnyWww@Answer-Health@Com
most people may end up gaining weight because of not eating because they do long enough to make the metabolism slow, but then revert to normal eating again, and because their metabolism is slower, they may gain weight!. someone who is anorexic eats small amounts of food for long periods of time, and although their metabolism is often much slower than the average person, an anorexic also eats so little that they lose a lot of weight anyway!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
