I need to cancel a gym contract...?!

Question: I need to cancel a gym contract...?
After obtaining a World Gym membership I have come to the conclusion that it was a horrible mistake to make. I signed up for a new facility that was being built in Sept 2010 and after it was built, at first, it was a beautiful building, but now, it has turned into an overpopulated, cramped, can't get on a machine, teenie-bopper hang out and as far as I'm concerned they have not kept up their end of the bargain by providing the services I signed up for (ie- ZUMBA classes where you don't run into people and you aren't crammed in a gymnasium which exceeds its maximum occupancy)... the problem is that they are charging me $150 to cancel, unless I have a written medical note from my doctor, and I feel like I shouldn't have to pay that b/c their part of the contract hasn't been fulfilled by providing the services I signed up for.
SO my question for you all is, how should I go about disputing this with the gym? I'm assuming that they're going to fight me tooth and nail, so I need to know what exactly I can say to give it that extra jolt of, "You're canceling this contract, and I'm not paying $150"??

My lawyer would say, pay the money. I could explain why, but it is lengthy. Get a receipt that states the contract is terminated. If the money is being automatically drafted out of your bank account, have a statement that the money will no longer be taken out. Don't aggravate yourself. Pay. Check out centers better the next time, and don't sign such a contract again. However, there is one thing to remember, after this month, most people will forget their resolutions and will stop going. They bank on people not showing up and have no optimum amount of members they book. The other option is to get a note from your doctor. No, they have covered everything in their contract. It is iron clad. So, when you quit, make sure you have documentation. Don't leave the building without it.
