Does the Lemon Detox Diet work, and is it safe?!

Question: Does the Lemon Detox Diet work, and is it safe?
Just wondering,
I really want to try this,
But I don't know if it's safe,
Or of it works?

I hear those drinks make you take nasty mexican dumps, you know like the one's you get when you dont wash your hands and eat some little tacos with tons of hot sauce.

The lemon detox or master cleanse/starvation diet you are referring to is a calorie deficit program.
You will lose a few pounds but when you start eating again you will probably gain more weight.
The signal these starvation diets send the body is that there is no more food available.
The body immediately stores any fat it can and begins to burn muscle mass for fuel instead of the stored fat (metabolism). Stored fat will be used as a last resort when needed.
When you start eating again the body immediately stores any food as fat because it doesn't know when the next famine is coming. You really don't detox since a substantial portion of the toxins in the body are stored in fat cells. So if you don't lose the fat, you don't lose the toxin.
The complete opposite of what you are trying to accomplish.
Cleansing and detoxing have absolutely no medical benefit and are in fact harmful to the digestive tract.
There is no build up of bad plaque or sludge in a normal system. If this was the case we would have people dying left and right from malnutrition since their bodies couldn't absorb nutrients.
Since we reabsorb most of the water in our food and drink through the large intestine, If it was coated with toxic plaque we would all be sloshing around like sponges yes?
Our liver and kidneys aren't clogged with toxins. Otherwise we would be dead.
The liver does in fact get layered with fat when we become overweight.
We "cleanse and detox" 24 hours a day through respiration, sweat, liver, and kidneys.
Cleanses actually flush out the beneficial bacteria and enzymes in the digestive system.
Search gut flora to learn about the beneficial bacteria we need in our colon.
They don't tell you about the gas, cramping, and bloating you will experience when you start eating again and the body has to rebuild this bacteria population.
We can help detox by eating a healthy diet with minimal added sugar and salt. Lots of fresh fruit, vegetables, whole grain foods, beans, peas, and brown rice keep a system as healthy as it can be.
Minimal alcohol, caffeine, soda.
Read food labels. If you can't pronounce it, don't put it in your body.
A healthy high fiber diet works every time.
Increases the speed and efficiency of the digestive system and helps the body rid itself of both internal and environmental toxins.
Good luck.

The basis behind the diet is that it is meant to release your body of poisonous toxins. If you are looking for fast weight loss, the Lemon Detox Diet could work for you, however be aware of the possible side effects and the risk of putting the weight straight back on. For long term weight loss may be better to consider a balanced meal plan coupled with regular exercise. It may not be as glamorous, but the long term results should speak for themselves.

It can work but you'll lose mostly water weight and most likely gain it back when its over, and its safe if you do it correctly.
