Am I not eating enough???!!?!

Question: Am I not eating enough???!!?
So I'm a 15 year old female. Im 5'7 and around 120 pounds, I'm active and built athletic. I jog/run 20 minutes 6x a week burning 200-250 calories. I lift 2-3 times a week and rarely am ever lazy. I eat around 1700 calories everyday though I always seem to want to eat more. If i eat like 2000 calories a day am i going to gain a little bit of weight ( fat ) for going up 300 calories more? I'm trying to loose fat and gain muscle. I eat very healthy and never have junk. I drink a protein shake after my workouts also

As you are borderline underweight 2,000 calories a day would be better than 1,700.

I've had a lot of experiences with crash diet program, pills, and fitness programs. None of these worked for me for the long term. Usually a program that recognizes that a weight control program which is focused on long term weight control is the only type of program that works. The only place I've found on the web that seems to recognize all this is old crow ink. Try them. One of their programs might work for you.

Sure, eat more, it's not going to make you gain a pound since you're so athletic :) I wish I could be that athletic! haha. Also, it takes 3500 to put on a pound of fat. So 300 + a lot of exercise isn't going to make you put on anything :P

Hope I helped!

Best wishes/Miranda

No you won't gain weight with 2000 calories.
I'm 15 yo and 5'3 , 108lbs and exercise 6x week as well but I do it less then you,and I eat around 2000 to keep my current weight ^^
