Help for a very fat person losing weight?!

Question: Help for a very fat person losing weight?
I am currently very overweight. I am a 33 year old female. I am 5 foot 5 inches and weigh 225lbs. I really want to lose weight. I went to the cinema tonight and I only just managed to wedge myself in the seat. I really hate my figure and I know my boyfriend of 14 years would like me to slim down.

I am eating a lot more healthily and have cut out sweets and pastries etc but I find exercise a problem. Firstly because I have severe chronic anemia and so that combined with being so fat I get very tired and out of breath with any physical activity and even walking fast means I get very painful lactic acidosis in my muscles when I do even a little brisk walking (the anemia means I don't have enough oxygen in my blood to take the lactic acid out of my muscle tissue). This issue also affects causes chest pain and palpitations but it's not dangerous.
I am taking high strength iron tablets to help with this and having regular blood tests but it could take sometime to get better.
Also I am just so hat and heavy that it is very difficult for me to work out. Jogging is very hard on my joints and feet and I can't bend my body into various positions for toning and stretching.

I want to reach my target of 147lbs by my birthday in mid october this year and I need to start working out now but I just don't know how to get going with my issues, I am prepared to start slow but I also need to see results to keep motivated even if it is just 2lbs a week.

Any advice for me?

P.S. I have been vegetarian for 20 years now and would never consider eating meat or fish. My anemia is due to genetic absorbtion issues and heavy periods. Losing weight should help with this to an extent.

well since you cant basically do anything because of your bad joints and anemia, (that will hopefully get better) you will have to incline slowly on your exercises, even if its jsut dynamic stretching in the morning and eventually your bad joints will go away with regular exercise. It might also be a good thing to keep track of your calories and to be sure your eating enough to have energy for the day, but not too much so you have leftover calories that is stored into your system, calories is energy its not a bad thing, high calories in the morning for energy in the day and low at night since you dont need as much before going to bed.

and last, if you cant get your protien through meats, try taking protien shakes, or eggs to get your protien because youll need that to help build your muscle and tone you.

This sounds really simple but start doing body squats.

Its a heck of a workout and it'll strengthen your whole core and stimulate your metabolism while still burning calories. Do as many as you can at least once everyday and I promise you'll see results.

<<Any advice for me?>>

I can only tell you what worked for me and maybe you can modify that for yourself.

18 mos ago I lost 65 lbs in 6 months. I am under 5'4". I had been trying to lose weight for years. I just kept gaining. In addition, I had IBS which kept getting worse and limiting what I could eat causing me to eat whatever didn't make me sick and those foods caused me to gain weight.

I was bedridden the entire time I lost weight and could do no exercises at all. I think I actually lost weight because I didn't exercise. I wasn't using up calories and getting hungry. .

Being in bed kept me away from the kitchen and kept me calm, I think.. Once my diet was adjusted to be free of simple carbs I began to lose weight rapidly. Basically I was on the Atikins Diet.

Also diet wasn't just about what foods I ate,. Non-organic foods with its harsh stimulants seemed to make me hungrier suggesting that my nervous system functions were stimulated in such a way as to trigger hunger. I became aware that I am pesticide intolerant so I needed a full organic diet.

Non-organic food and products were responsible for making me so sick in the first place and causing me IBS. Non-organic food was also causing me to pass out every time I ate. Both are problems of the nervous system - the cause of most common health problems. Weight gain may be one of them. That you have automatic body function health problems may mean you need organic food too, if you don't eat it already. Even organic processed food is still too harsh (toxic) for some people,, like me.

Non-organic food may stimulate your appetite too. Plus a high BMI means a high chemical body burden because toxins are stored in fat cells. The more fat cells, the more toxins are stored in the body. The body becomes its own storage of toxins that can cause heatlh problems of the nervous system, such as high cholesterol, type two diabetes, and much more..

I also had very high cholesterol but had to stop taking the meds because the non-organic drug fillers in them were making me sicker. Even though I had high cholesterol, I followed the following diet complete with organic eggs, which my not be right for you. I ate eggs instead of organic meat to cut expenses. I figured eating the eggs would help me lose weight fast even if it raised my cholesterol. for a short term. Of course since I lost weight, I no longer have high cholesterol.

Here's what I ate daily. All foods were organic and non-processed.. Whole milk is the only fully organic milk. Any dairy product that was not fully organic triggered my IBS symptoms, Sometimes I had organic white cheeses only (yellow is not organic) but not often because it is expensive,.

1-2 eggs
1-2 apples
1-2 potatoes fixed any way I desired
Stir fired organic cabbage
2-3 bananas pureed in organic whole milk as a milk shake.
Peanuts as a snack.
Organic cooking oil
Orgnic salted butter.
Pickling salt in place of iodized salt. Picking salt has no non-organic flowing agents.

This was my basic diet. Foods from grains cause me to rapidly gain weight, like 10 lbs in a week so now I don't eat them but once on a great while. Examples are popcorn or home made waffles.. Good luck. to you!

Take REAALY small steps, trust me. Usually when people start diets they tell themselves they are going to workout until they sweat themself to death, this is not what to do..Set yourself with small goals.. its nice that you have your big goal to be 147, but make your first goal to get down to 223, then 220, then 215, and take that week by week. Don't weigh yourself everyday.. trying weighing yourself once a week.. like every sunday, because trust me, EVERYBODY hits a plateau at some point in the process of weight loss, nobody is perfect. With food.. refrain from diet drinks, they still have no nutritional value, start replacing every drink you have with a BOTTLE of water = 2 cups.. you should be drinking about 10 glasses of water a day, although it may sound like much, due to your weight you should be drinking a little more water. With excersize.. its important to know that although it may hurt, its what is going to make you stronger, if it doesn't hurt.. it most likely isn't doing anything, excersizing is alot like life what hurts in life will also make you stronger.. if you go through life without any issues and suddenly one day you get smacked in the face with an issue you will not know how to deal with it. But thats enough of the metaphors haha its important to also take your excersize slowly start with small walks. But as for motivation, i would check out some youtubers who are trying to lose weight.. those help ALOT! Because it show you that losing the weight actually is POSSIBLE, i would check this chick out http://www.youtube.com/user/LosingtheFat maybe even your boyfriend can try losing weight with you. Another thing you should do is have your boyfriend try to lose weight with you.. if he needs to lose a couple of pounds this would be a great opportunity for the both of you to bond and grow together. :) Whenever you see something tempting.. ask yourself, is it worth it? BTW im vegetarian too! my official one year anniversary was yesterday :D

The only people I've found that understand this type of problem is old crow ink. You might want to them and see if one of the old crow ink solutions works for you. No single crash program works for everybody, all the time. Quickie diets, pills, weight-lifting programs might work once but not for the long term. Try something that works long term.
Good Luck

Well it sounds like youre already doing a lot of good things and good job with taking the first step. My advice would be to keep yourself motivated and never give up even if u feel like u cant do it anymore. I dont really like excersizing so I try to do fun things like play the wii or dance or something. U should also try things that u think r fun. Good luck and I hope everything works out!!:)
