What would be a healthy meal plan?!

Question: What would be a healthy meal plan?
I am 14 years old, and 5'6 tall. I would like a healthy meal plan to help me loose a few pounds

Answers:

Ok, so a healthy weight for your height is anywhere between 115 and 155 pounds, in the middle of that is a good target, but you also have to consider your natural build. Don't force your body to be what it's not. That being said:

So for breakfast you want to focus on getting protein and fiber, this will energize you and keep you satisfied through the morning. So things like oatmeal, granola and greek yogurt(has more protein than normal yogurt), a protein shake and some berries, or eggs( the yolks are high in cholesterol but also high in nutrients so stick to one yolk a day) are good meals for the morning.

Lunch is a good time to get some vegetables in. Salads are good, but make sure you go light on the dressing especially if it's ranch or Cesar, vinaigrette or plain olive oil are healthier choices. Also keep in mind that the darker green are often more nutritious, so don't just have an iceberg lettuce salad. Try thing like spinach, kale, arugula. You can also add some stuff like cucumbers, carrots, avocados, and tomatoes or some lean protein like boiled chicken, almonds, or salmon.

For dinner, you again want to get vegetables and protein in. When choosing meat, go on the leaner side by boiling or grilling chicken or turkey. Pork and red meat are not the healthiest choices. Vegetables like broccoli, asparagus and carrots are good boiled.

For snacks, eat fruit, or a handful of nuts (almonds and cashews are pretty healthy, be careful on quantity though because they are high in calories).

Basically for meals, look at your plate and fill half of it will vegetables, fill a little less than a quarter of the plate with lean protein, and a little less than a quarter with whole grains, the last sliver is left for sweets or fats (like if you used butter, or want a small piece of dark chocolate for dessert). That is a very nutritious and balanced meal.

Here are some other tips:
-drink lots of water, your body will confuse thirst for hunger, making you eat more
-get a good amount of sleep, too much and too little will make you want to eat more, especially sweets
-three meals and two snacks a day is a good way to go, if you go too long without eating your blood sugar will drop and cause you to over eat later on.
-watch proportions, and eat slowly, this will help digestion and help prevent over eating
-if you have a craving, don't give in right away. first drink some water and then wait about 10 minutes. If you still have the craving, go ahead and give in but in a small amount.
-losing one pound means burning 3,500 calories, you want to lose 1-2 pounds a week, anything more than that is unhealthy, so aim to burn 500-1000 calories a day.
-exercise!!! This is essential, not just for losing weight but for being healthy in general.

Ok, that's all i can think of for now, good luck and stay healthy!

LOSE a few pounds. Why does no one get this right?

Divide your plate into four sections. Fill one with a lean protein, one with a carbohydrate like potatoes or pasta and the other two with a green vegetable.

go to sixpacknow.com and click on abs of the month and theyll show you exactly what you need to know
bodybuilding.com as good as well just a little more complicated to search for what you want :)
