What Foods to take to school to build up muscle?!


Question: What Foods to take to school to build up muscle?
Hey i'm 16, and i'm unsure of what foods to be taking to school to build up muscle and strength.
At the moment i'm taking:
Recces: Banana and Apricot
Lunch : Ham,Lettuce,Tomato,Cucumber sandwich in wholegrain bread.
Towards the end of classes i'm still feeling hungry, how can i improve?

Answers:

You're snacks arent benefiting you, neither are your'e meals for muscle gain.
Try this:

Recess snack:
- Wholegrain cracker's with a can of white albacore tuna ..
Or
- Nutritional protein shake/ bar (eg: Ensure/ Ensure Protein, Boost/ Boost Protein, Clif Bar or Lara Bar)
Or
- 3-4 Slices deli meat (turkey/ chicken/ ham/ roast beef) or beef/ chicken/ turkey jerky with 1-2 cheese snacks (Babybell/ Laughing Cow Wedges/ Cheese String)
Or
- Greek yoghurt/ cottage cheese with 1/4 cup granola/ muesili or cup of 1% milk/ 1% chocolate milk

Lunch:
- 100% Wholewheat breads/ large wrap/ pita/ english muffins/ crumpets/ english muffins/ bun or crumpet with 2TBSP natural peanut butter and optional TBSP jam. Add a sliced banana, sliced apple or 1/4 cup sprinkled dried fruit (raisins/ craisins) inside sandwhich. Consume with greek yoghurt/ serving of 1% white or chocolate milk or cottage cheese- 2 cheese snack's.
Or
- Wholegrain breads (or pita/ wrap/ bun/ bagel) with 3-4 slices deli ham, slice of unprocessed cheese or 1/3 cup shredded cheese with sliced vegetable toppings (tomato/ cucomber/ onion/ lettuce/ etc) with 1/4 cup hummus.
Consume with greek yoghurt, cottage cheese or serving of milk and a medium fresh fruit (eg: apple/ banana/ fruit juice box/ applesauce/ fruit cup/ berries/ grapes/ cherries/ melon/ dried fruit's/ etc)

Snack:
- Cup of Kashi Go Lean or Special K Protein Cereal with a cup of 1-2% milk or chocolate milk

My friend did the same thing as you except he ate NOTHING but hard boiled eggs and worked out hours on end and by the end of the semester he had put on about 30 pounds of muscle.



Nuts have alot of protein. and are super good for you.

it should not be to strength your muscle but keep you fresh through out the day,munch all dryfruitnuts and orange juice will keep you fit.if you insist only on strength then eat elephant or lion flesh.



Try some boiled eggs,
It has lots of vitamins and proteins and it will help you to build up muscles
