Yes it can ....the modern sumo wrestlers drink beer with their heavy diet to put on weight, but it increases fat only near your abdominal area...so be careful with that as it is very hard to get rid of that fat.
My suggestion will be to take in account some natural methods like eat more calories than you burn, rest a lot, take proper sleep (most important factor in gaining weight), include protein in your diet.
But want to make one thing clear that you will have to work hard on your fitness during your weight gain. Drinking beer doesn't mean that you are going to have it all day and night.

Beer will make you gain weight in all the wrong places. If you want to gain weight and look good, eating a crap load of vegetables and meat, and then exercising regularly, will help you gain a lot of weight, and that weight will be healthy and attractive. I suggest buying some protein shakes, eating a good diet, and doing some strength training exercises every other day. That will help immensely and you won't get a beer gut.

I wish I was skinny like you, mate drink beer if you must it will help you to gain weight but not in a healthy way, your 25, one day you might just gain weight without even trying . You are lucky to be only 60kg, eat good food, rich food that will make you happy and gain weight drink alcohol but don't make yourself into a drunk, eat good foods but don';t become a glutton.

Lead a rich successful happy life,
Stay Healthy.

Remember one day you might start gaining weight very easy, but you will find it hard to lose weight.
I am interested in how your maintaining your current weight so good please tell, I am 110 kgs, and 6'3 I'm trying to lose enough to get down to 90 kgs.

Please help.

Diet pills work ok, but no real nutritional value to them and have unknown side effects depending on how long its been out on the market. That being said you might want to try supplements that have a positive nutritional impact on you body. I have been taking this supplement for a great while and let me tell you it works great. . Hit me up on my youtube account if you have any other questions or would like me to help you achieve your goal. Peace

It will, but your stomach will get bigger and your liver will start to go bad, healthier way of gaining weight is drink protein shakes and eat lean meat and other stuff to gain protein.

Been there done that

don't do beer, you'll become addicted and there are a lot more healthier, tastier foods that help you gain weight

oh yes,,beer and junk food are the easiest ways to get out of shape and gain weight.

Yes and lots of it after a while u will get something call beer gut

I'm 5' 8" and weigh 68kg and around 13% body fat, I'm on the slim side but don't look skinny. I have a physically demanding job and weight train only once or twice per week.

Extra weight gain is all about diet and finding the right amount of exercise to do each week.

If you drink beer to gain weight you will simply gain fat, you'll look slim but your gut will probably be fat and also your lower back, you may also show the extra weight gain around your face.

Getting bigger and having a good amount of muscle mass takes time, typically around 3-6 months for someone who has an active lifestyle, and maybe as much a year for someone who does very little during the day, ie and office worker.

The most important thing really is diet, you are what you eat. If you eat junk and drink alcohol daily then you will slow the transformation process by as much as 150%... so you may never see any gains, you'll just bulk up. To see the gains you work hard for you need to monitor your calories and percentages of the foods you eat, carbs/proteins/fat, for X amount of time, which is not easy in the initial stages but after a few months it's water off a ducks back... so consistency is also another key component to looking good.

...as they say, if it's that easy then everyone would look amazing!
