Do you agree that the first day of a diet is always the hardest?!


Question: Do you agree that the first day of a diet is always the hardest?
I am fine once I get over the first day, but it seems to take me forever to get over that first day.. I will start out in the morning on a diet then always end it and say ok ill start tomorrow, it usually ends up taking like weeks before I end up getting started, then once I have gotten over that first day I am excellent..Anyone else with this problem?

Yes, but once I get over the initial 3-day hump, I'm ok :) But the first 3 days are definitely the hardest for me. But looking at these answers, I guess everyone's different.



Here is me 2 cents,I recommend to only weigh you self once a month, gaining weight and losing fat can go hand and hand, muscle increases while you burn fat. So you may notice you fit better in to your jeans or shirt. Also depends on water retention, did you take any supplements, or last time you weigh your self it was in the morning and maybe this time it was at night. So it all depends. But don’t beat your self up about it. If you are eating right and working out you will see results. So put the scale away and maybe even take a picture every 30days and weight your self also and you will notice the difference. No, the first day is the easiest. A person is all pumped up, ready and motivated to start. The novelty begins to wear off in the next few days and then depending on their will power, they might begin to slip. That is why so many people try dieting and then put the weight back on or they don't even get past the 1st week so by the time they say "I'm going on a diet" for the 10th time that month, well you might not take them seriously...

Not really. When I start a new diet I've usually pumped myself up for it and so feel pretty good on the first day. After about 3 days to a week however, it starts to get much harder and I have to remind myself why I'm dieting.



I'm not like that. For me it's the easiest day because in the first day I have motivation but then after a week or so I lose my motivation and break my diet.
