Question: Can you really lose 25lbs(10kg) in a week with this diet?
My friend showed me this diet and said that she actually thinks this is possible - though, it obviously ISN'T healthy. I said that you'd lose a lot of water and muscle weight before fat, right? But, is it actually possible to lose.. circa 25 lbs (or 10 kg) on this thing?

The most you can healthily lose in a week is 2 LBs. You are correct in your analysis of what would happen if you tried this 'quake' diet. You would lose a lot of water and you body would start to cannibalise your muscle tissue to obtain protein.
i still stick to the old fashioned idea of good old diet and exercise...just watch what you eat, try not to over-eat fattening foods, and get at least 30min to an hour of exercise in every day. It might take a bit longer, but it is far healthier and the results are far more worth it.
It is pyshically impossible to lose that amount of weight in 7 days. If by some miracle a person was able to lose that amount of weight in such a short period of time, that person would be seriously ill or even in hospital.

Keep a balanced diet and enough sport, you will become slim.

The only way you could lose 25 pounds a day is if you were morbidly obese and ate very little with exercising about 6 hours a day like the people on Biggest Loser
