Question: What am I doing wrong on the 17 day diet?
I have been on the 17 diet now about 14 days. I am very proud to say that i have stayed on this diet and followed the plan exactly layed out in the book. The first week i had huge success! Inone week i lost 10 pounds, so natually i was feeling pretty good about the diet. Finally i had found a diet that worked for me. Now i am on week 2 and nothing. I still follow the diet exactly layed out. I work out 45 minutes a day. I have not lost 1 pound more. I know that 10 pounds is huge, but i thought i would continue to lose by following the diet.I am about 3 days away from starting 2 cycle. I was hopign i could find some other people on this diet. I have looked all over the internet for forums or QnA's on this diet and have come up empty handed. Hopefully someone reading this can answer a few questions. First question, is it normal to lose that much and then nothing?? Will i start seeing more weight loss in the 2nd cycle? Also i am concerned because i have not had a bowel movemnet in 4 days. I ahve got a lot of feedback blaming this on the green tea. Has anyone else experienced this? I want to continue on this diet and i will finish it out for the 4 cycles. My goal was was to lose 50 pounds. Starting off at 10 pounds loss it great, but to go a whole week with out losing anything has me discouraged! Any feedback from anyone? Anyone else experience these frustrations on this diet? Is it normal to lose a lot of weight and then nothing? Any advice would be welcome! I want to stay on this diet and lose the 50 pounds. Still i am discouraged since I have went a whole week of staying at the same weight no matter what i do. Please help. ANY FEEDBACK!!!

Answer: DIET
Healthy eating for the rest of your life with maybe (!) occasional "treats" may help + regular exercise.
Sorry, but that's the only way to lose weight and keep it that way.

when you stop eating as much as normal your metabolsim slows and you stop burning as much fat off. also it is unhealthy to loose 10 lbs in one week unless you are obese or really really fat.

you should loose bout 1/2 lbs a week.



your not doing anything wrong but its going to get a little harder to lose weight because about the first ten pounds u lose is water weight if you want to lose more weight try working out different sections of your body because fat can be stored in about every part of your body



What are you doing in terms of probiotics.. I would recommend taking some..No BM in 4 days would certainly be a factor in the stall of wt loss....Also .. eat more green veggies and drink lots of water... that was a huge shift.. for one week.so hang in there.. some weeks.. wt loss.. some weeks inches lost.. look at the overall picture...and the first week wt loss is usually never indicative of what will continue on a weekly basis no matter what plan you are on.I would look at this as an overall overhaul of the way you eat.. rather than a quick diet fix.. cuz we all know diets are temporary and so are the results!
