Hi im 13 years old and i have a bump/pouch of fat on the bottum of my stomach. In june, i am going tubbing with my friend and dont want this to show when i have my bathing suit on. I have read some of the other questions like this and they all say to run, but my parents dont allow me to go out running by myself and wont come with me and i have no access to a treadmill or anything else like that. Any suggestions would be helpful :))) thanks!!!

Ok so you wanna lose some chubby chub ( just like i did when i was younger). Depending how much of it your trying to get rid of, if its alot, no you wont get rid of it, if its little yes, maybe. but you wont get rid of all of it in 3-4 months 5-6 months yes its possible, but not all in 3-4 months, most of it maybe, if you listen to what i say. Portions when you eat, eat in portions, dont eat alot, eat what you got on ur plate thats it! no seconds. secondly dont drink Soda, Drink nothing but water. Third. dont eat anything with sugar like candy and soda mainly candy. Fourth. dont snack, dont go and get mid night snacks, night time is the worst to eat cause your metabalism is low. Fifth, since they wont let you run outside alone. Do sit ups, at your age do 35 in the morning 35 at night. Jog in place for about 15 minutes in the morning and at night. Jump and Jax do about 40 of them in the morning and at night. dont do this everyday it will ruin your body, do it one day, and then the next day dont, then do it the next day. so every other day you do this routine, but stick to your eating routine i told you, and you will lose a good amount of that chub ya got. trust me i was there once before......

Personal Experience, now im no longer chubby WOOOT!

Losing fat is simply burning more calories than you take in from eating food. You can try doing Insanity, P90X, or any other kind of indoor routine if you want.

Confidence is key.
Motivation is a must.
You're freakin thirteen!!!!! Just eat some more fruit and less pizza and you're good!

Its all about your dedication. So if you are going to commit, and really commit, make this known to yourself with a checklist/goal sheet somewhere you will see it every day!

"6 pack abs are made in the kitchen, not in the gym"- this saying holds true to an extent. If you lose enough fat, your abs will show up and then doing ab exercises will bring them out. Abs are like any other muscle and don't need to be worked more than 2 x per week.

Your best bet is to find a plan you can stick with, involving combinations of lean proteins, fresh vegetables and complex carbohydrates. Most importantly, watch your overall calorie intake and consumption of refined sugars. So, I like to start the day with steel cut oats (great food all-around) and soy milk with berries. Lunch I like tuna salad with lots of different veggies cut up and maybe blue corn chips and salsa on the side. I snack on fresh fruits (granny smith apples have low sugar) and nuts. Pistachios have lowest calorie of any nut. Then I like chicken, fish or lean steak and more salad or some kind of steamed veggie. Sweet potatos make a great and healthy side.

You can sweeten foods with agave nectar which has way less effect than regular sugar and won't give you a "spike" in your blood sugar levels.

Make sure to do cardio every day or every other day. Running will give you the fastest results.Shoot for at least 30 minutes, or research High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT).
