Answers:

@ Lauren....which studies show that?

I lost 20 pounds in about 45 days by going by a 1200 calorie diet, it was working so well i actually decided to go up to 1400 a day...and thats has proven to work too....in 6 days my weight went from 190 to 183 on the same scale. Im a guy though, i could never do 900 a day simply because i would be too hungry to handle it.

Nutrition is what its about....not cutting your diet to 5 calories a day lol. Raw veggies and fruit...drink water and water only. Forget about using butter, oil, excessive salt and dont add things to your food you dont need. Cut out sugar(unless it comes natural from fruit...added sugar is a no no. Forget about food that comes in a package and strictly minimize white carbs...(rice, white bread, white potatoes, noodles) and eat the whole grain versions instead. I lost 20 pounds in 45 days like this and i never went into any kind of "starvation mode and gained weight)

Well not really; studies have proven consuming less than 1200 calories a day slows your matabalism and therefore, whatever your current weight causes gain.

Try 1500 at first, if you seriously have a lot of weight to lose you'll notice the difference within weeks and you'll feel much healthier than if you were starving yourself.

Hope it helps :)

depends on what you eat.

fruits, veggies, oatmeal, sandwiche NO JUNK FOOD, no cookies, etc. then you should be fine.

but you should try to exercise somehow also. but if you do exercise you'd have to eat more.

DRINKS LOTS OF WATER! you might have water weight. don't exceed 8 8 ounces of water.

No. People who have a lot of weight to lose typically lose a lot of weight anyways around 1200-1500 calories combined with 30-60 minutes of exercise.

Thats ok just keep your self hydrated.
