Is eating this many carbs healthy?!


Question: Is eating this many carbs healthy?
I always hear on say tv shows..ooh can't eat that has carbs in it lol....i eat lots of fruits which i have just heard contain a lot of carbs, but surley that cant do me too much harm? especially since i have a genrally healthy diet with fats and protein too...i like my cereals and breads which also contribute to the carb intake lol so how many carbs should you eat per day?
or should i just eat my dang 5 a day and stop worrying over nothing? lol thanks guys!! xxx

Its enough to make your head spin sometimes isn't it. Especially when the media keeps throwing the latest celebrity fad/crash diet at you.
I would say that with regard to anything, moderation is the key. So with you fruits don't go over the top as they contain fructose (fruit sugar). Now fructose is not bad, however too much of it is still too much sugar (simple carbs) so 2 or 3 pieces of fruit per day is fine. As for the cereals/breads i would limit my intake of those at dinner time especially. Keep dinner as protein (fish or chicken or meat) and steamed veges or salad.
I cant say exactly how many carbs per day is right for you as there are too many things i dont know about you ( weight, activity level, metabolism, bodytype,etc etc). What i can say right now that will help is to cycle your carb intake each day to keep the body guessing and burning. So one day low carb, one day higher carb, and one day moderate carb and so on.
