Lately I haven't been getting hungry?!

Question: Lately I haven't been getting hungry?
For the past week or so, I've noticed that I hardly ever get hungry, and when I eat something, I only eat a few bites before I'm extremely full. I'm NOT anorexic and/or bulimic. I feel fine with the weight I am. Pretty much the only reason I have been eating is because my mom makes me. Sometimes, though not often, I'll be really really hungry and then I eat 2 bites and I'm extremely full. I'm a 13 year old girl. Has anyone else had this happen? I haven't lost any weight, but I barely eat anything anymore. Today, all I had was half of an instant breakfast thing, a few bites of a grilled cheese sandwich, a few french fries, and water. Also, I get thirsty a lot more, and often times I'll crave- this is weird- just water. Cold, icy water. Not a food or anything, and I'm not dehydrated. I'm not diabetic either (my dad has Type 1 so my mom got me tested a few years ago just to be safe). I'm a healthy weight. Does anyone have any idea why I don't get hungry/ why I drink so much more water?

Answers:

Don't let the other answers scare you. You most likely don't have a "condition". You're 13, you are growing and there are times that your body wants you to eat all day every day, and there will be time periods where you will just eat a couple bites and be full. It's normal and as long as you are drinking water every day and trying to eat a little bit every few hours, you will be fine. Your appetite will come back when your body needs more calories/nutrition.

I'm 14 and I go through periods like that.

Drinking water is good for you, but not to much water. I wouldn't exceed 6 glasses of water a day and I'm about 150 lbs. What I would do is try doing exercises, like running, jumping jacks, push ups, walking around, or doing school sports.

Tips to Get your Appetite Back
Here are a few tips to alleviate your symptoms,

Increase the intake of fresh fruit juices. Sugarcane juice, apple juice or orange juice will help relieve your symptoms.
Ensure that you avoid all forms of junk food, oily or fried food, fatty food like cheese, butter, ghee, etc. Also ensure that you increase the intake of boiled vegetables or vegetable soup.
Get a blood test done to assess the levels of bilirubin in your blood. This will give you some idea about the underlying cause of your condition.
Ensure that you drink only boiled water and avoid all forms of aerated drinks, alcohol and beverages.

I had the same problem about a year ago, but I know what was causing my loss of appetite. I was on the contraceptive injection for a few months and almost the whole time I never wanted to eat. I just forced myself to, after I realised how much weight I was loosing. Is there any medication you're on that could be responsible for this? I had to stop taking the contraceptive injection, and I'm all back to normal. You should go see your doctor if this goes on for much longer. But for now, try just snacking on little nibbles, or drinking milkshakes. Eat light things. A grilled cheese sandwich would probably make me gag if I had no appetite.
