Most experts say eating a balanced diet is the best way to get your
share of good food for healthy skin. Still, a number of specific skin
treats are more likely than others to give a boost of glowing good
health to your complexion.
Low-Fat Dairy Products. One the most important components of skin
health is vitamin A. One of the best places to get it is low-fat dairy
products. In fact, experts say that the health of our skin cells is
dependent on dietary vitamin A.
Blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, and plums. The common link
between these four foods is their high antioxidant content.
Salmon, Walnuts, Canola Oil, and Flax Seed. These seemingly unrelated
foods all deliver essential fatty acids, and thus are key foods for
healthy skin.
Healthy Oils. These contain more than essential fatty acids. Eating
good-quality oils helps keep skin lubricated and keeps it looking and
feeling healthier overall. Included olive oil, sunflower seed oil,
walnut oil.
Whole-wheat bread, muffins, and cereals; turkey, tuna and brazil
nuts. The mineral selenium connects all these foods for healthy skin.
Experts say selenium plays a key role in the health of skin cells.
Some studies show that even skin damaged by the sun may suffer fewer
consequences if selenium levels are high.
Green Tea. Green tea can reduce the risk of damage from ultraviolet light (such
as the burning rays of the sun), and thus reduce the risk of skin
cancer.
Food in itself is not a cure for any skin problem, so you have to use
topical creams and lotions to improve your skin, as well as having
healthy diet.

Like the first person said, food has nothing to do with acne. Well unless you rub a piece of greasy pizza over your face:) Just go to the drugstore and by some acne cleanser and some spot treatment. I recommend L'oreal Go 360 clean cleanser (its the one with the scrubber) or neutrogena grapefruit exfoliating cleanser. And as a spot treatment I would get burt's bees acne oil with tea leaf extract. good luck:) OH, and if cleansing and stuff yourself isn't working, go to a dermatologist (a skin doctor). They will prescribe you some heavier stuff. And (more advice, I know, sorry) I wouldn't suggest using Proactiv. A lot of my friends have used it and they say that while you're on it your skin looks great but once you stop the treatment you get horrible acne again.

Food has nothing to do with acne. That's a myth. Try drinking a lot of water or invest on some over-the-counter acne treatments. Clean & Clear and Neutrogena are good. Proactiv is also very good, but expensive. The first time you order Proactiv it costs $19.95, but to have it delivered monthly is somewhere in the $60 range.
