B.M.I of 16.3... does that have to be a problem?!

Question: B.M.I of 16.3... does that have to be a problem?
When I woke up this morning I weighed myself and measured my height (simply out of curiosity). And it seems I have got taller and lost weight. I am now 168cm and 46kg. I'm a naturally slim 15 year old but apparently im a little underweight (according to BMI calculator reading 16.3).

I would really like to be in the healthy range but I have a weird stomach that always tells me when Ive had enough food and even if im halfway through a biscuit or something, I have stop eating when it tells me to. And if I force myself to finish it i feel really ill.

Plus, ive recently taken my hours of exercise up from 2 hours a week to 5. And I dont want to bring this back to 2 because doing more sport makes me feel so good and happy, and 'deletes' any depressive feelings (not clinical), but already the effects of this extra exercise are making me loose weight after just 2 weeks, and im worried it will escalate over a longer period of time.

Also, Im pretty sure i have quite a bit of fat on my stomach and next to my armpits that Id like to get rid of, so i feel quite convinced that this bmi thing isnt accurate.
Do I sound healthy enough to you? Should I change to suit this vauge calculator?

Answers:

The healthy range for BMI is 18-25. I would say follow the My Pyramid food guidelines for the next few months to improve your health and decrease your exercising to 30 min a day. Include some aerobics for 3-5 days and weight train/stretch to tone your body up. You can't spot reduce fat in any area of your body, fat will come and go in the areas where your genetics program it to target. You can't just get rid of fat near your armpits but with a continuous and healthy exercise program, you can eventually. Gaining more muscle will increase your BMI as well, but you also need a good amount of fat to give you energy. You sound healthy, but you should stay in the healthy range just to be on the safe side. Also, don't focus too much on your weight, think about your lifestyle and your genetics so that you don't go crazy worrying about your weight all the time and don't over eat. I used to be able to eat a lot, and when I had a rapid weight loss, I tried eating the things I used to eat and finishing them but it would just make me gag. So yah! :) Good luck.

You need to get help. You are extremely underweight.

You don't sound too bad, as long as you understand your not fat. So the "fat" next to your armpits and stomach is probably just skin. Try to eat at least 1500 calories a day to make sure your getting a healthy amount of food and don't push yourself too much when your exercising. If you feel dizzy or ill you need to go to the doctor right away. And if you lose anymore weight you should also go to the doctor. There is a chance you might have anorexia. It actually wouldn't be a bad idea to go to the doctor soon and just have them check you out and make sure you don't have a eating disorder.
