Question: How do i feel more condfident about my body?(and how do I know I'm losing weight??)?
I'm 16 and I'm a little more than a bit over weight for a girl that's only 5 foot even. I constantly bash my body and I think its a turn off to guys I like. My mom says I look like l'm losing weight but then I get on the scale and it says I've gained weight which is incredibly confusing. My friends(girls and guys) all say I have a nice shape and the guys I like are always really fit and still say I have a really nice body. But I still don't feel comfortable with my body and I want to know if there are ways I can change that. Also how do I know if I'm really losing weight??

well best is follow healthy diet and healthy routine, then remmeber the fact, u can't be model as they spend all the time in workout, paste some posters of bikini models, watch urself naked in mirror 1ce a day and observe ur body, u should concentrate on shape not weoghts, musles weigh more than fats, thats the fact

following tips may help u

u shud do 15 mins jog daily, sit-ups, climbing stairs, lunges, crunches, leg raises, dance workout for flat tummy

You can follow following diet and fitness tips for better results: -

A good tip is turn vegetarian, have 5 time meals rather.
You can have seafood also.
breakfast of cereals, milk and egg only,
lunch u can have beans on bread, dal rice, bread with baked/ boiled vegetables

have light dinner, again u can have bread and salad with gravy, pulses

avoid chicken, beef, pork, cheese, paneer, pizzas and junk food.
Avoid rice at night

learn some recipes for healthy food. You can look for alternates like fish, crab, prawns, Soya, Mushrooms etc..

You can do activities like streching, breathing exercises, yoga, running, like standing at same place u do running motion, arobics, dance, climb stairs till 5 storeys 3-4 times a day, jogging, badminton, volleyball also keep you fit
swimming is also good exercise

You can do free exercises like push-ups, sit-ups, chin-ups to stay fit

get a pair of light weight dumbells and do arm exercises

for thighs do lunges, sit-ups, stepper, multi-exercise, leg curls, leg press, jogging, climbing, climbing steps

for arms do dumbell curl, reverse dumbell curl with light weights (15-20-25 reps)

for abs do crunches, leg raises, tiwst crunches, standing twists etc.

for chest do bench press, dumbell flies, pec dec etc.

Note: I suggest light dumbells over machines. please make sure u do light weights and more reps for weight loss.
Please don't do exercise if you have cold or some illness.

Work out. Thats the best way. And just because your mom says you LOOK like you've lost weight it doesnt mean you have (moms do stuff like that) she was trying to support you. But this is your life so if you want to feel better about your self then wear tighter fitting clothes (because baggy clothes make people look bigger),eat healthy, and excersise because thats what'll help the most. Hope this helped a little!!
