Will just eating healthier and working out make me lose weight?!

Question: Will just eating healthier and working out make me lose weight?
Okay so for a while I was constantly working out and counting calories. I gained weight then lost 11 pounds. But my body was always worn out and soar. No matter how many time's I worked out It was still really sore. Plus I was tired all the time. Sometime's I wouldn't have the energy to get out of bed. For the last week I stoped counting calories but I kept eating healthy. I don't eat any fried food. I stay away from High calorie foods. I never feel hungry and more. I still workout but I only do it three to four times a week I gained a little bit of weight. But now my pant's are lose and my clothes fit a lot better. Plus I do yoga sometimes. Like once a week. I'm not counting the yoga as a workout...btw. So if I stop counting calories and just keep eating healthy and working out will I lose weight?

Answers:

Unless there is a reason why it's harder for you to lose weight (e.g. if you are on the pill) then eating healthily and exercising 3 or 4 times a week should definitely make you lose weight. The body needs time to restore itself and so the soreness you were referring to before makes sense if you were working out more than 3 or 4 times. People should only count calories if they are unsure of the amount they are eating, but as you have counted calories in the past then you should know roughly what portion sizes are good for you and when you have eaten too much in one day and you shouldn't need to check everything. Hope this helps :)

Katelyn, the short answer is yes. BTW, yoga is an excellent workout. The reason you have gained slightly, but your pants are loose is because your body composition is changing from fat to lean muscle. The more muscle percentage your body becomes, the more calories your body will burn and in turn, the more food (energy) you will require.

If you feel great, keep doing exactly what you are doing. As well, the yoga and stretching will keep you muscles long and lean like a woman's are suppose to be.

yes,,10 lbs should be your average weight loss each month if you stay within these 3 guidelines.

1.eat only steamed lean meats, eggs, healthy fruits ,vegetables, nuts, grains, & yogurt..2. drink only water, juice, & milk..3. walk or do some physical exercise 1-3 hour every day.

(btw, recommend you also to buy an electronic food steamer ((Very cheap)) and a rice cooker as makes it very easy to prepare healthy meals)

Hi Katelyn .

It's important you eat Correctly. Don't starve yourself, because your body will just go into shock, it's basically a waste of time. You've just got to cut down on some fats, and carbs. Make sure you've got balanced meals with all the correct food groups, and the allocated amounts.
Eating correctly, resting and exercising well, not over doing it will do you good !
Goodluck , Hope this helped !

Dieting will only make you lose a certain amount of weight. The fact that you feel tired all the time could be an indication that you are eating too little.
What you need to do is eat regular, healthy meals 4 -6 meals a day, and exercise. Have a read through this article; it will be of very good use for you: http://bit.ly/fVWTSI

yes you will, it all depends on how hard you exercise and what you eat. if you are stretching properly before and after your workout then you should not be overly sore. if you stick to a diet that follows a ratio of 1:2:3 of (fat:protein:carbs) then you should lose weight fine.

the best way is to get with a pro nutritionist about why you have this problem.Your on the right track
though.Being sore is normal this happens, keep it up and it just will burn, remember to keep hydrated.

yesss eat healthy drink water cut out all fried fatty fast foods eat tons of veggies and fruits and lean meats etc. andd workkout at least 30 mins. 3-5 times a weeeek (:

take in less calories (by eating healthier) and burn more thru exercise

As long as you're not eating a ton of carbs or anything, you should lose weight(:

theres no special magic to losing weight, just eat less. you never saw a fat person in a concentration camp.

Don't fret about it. I wouldn't say completely stop, but don't over obsess about it either,. If you eat a new food count the calories. If it's something you normally eat don't worry about it. It's all in moderation. Congrats on the 11lbs. I'm happy for you!
Oh, and take it easy. Don't overwork yourself. If you're feeling tired or soar then rest for a bit. Sometimes when I go to the Y(gym) I workout for an hour or two sit down and study Japanese for about 15-20 minutes at the snack bar(without eating anything of course) and then do another hour.
Good luck~!
