Is this a good diet?!?!?!?!

Question: Is this a good diet?!?!?!?
Im turning 17 in March But i want to lose weight by then i just started today it's 4:20 usually when i start diets i give up after a couple of days because my family isn't very supportive & when i start diets they usually start buying fatty foods and thats all to eat. I weigh 70.6 I measured my belly and thighs which are 40 and 23. I get picked on all the time about this & im tired of it. My sister picks on me and so do other people. It's actually making me depressed and not want to live anymore. I'm going to start getting paid soon & i want to start buying "weigh watcher" meals to have for dinner each night. For Breakfast i was thinking a fruit milkshake or Porridge and for lunch just a sandwich and then each fruit like an apple in between & drink plenty of water & do 30 minutes of exercise a day. & like 20 sit ups. Is this okay or should i do more?

Hello
First of all I'm sorry to hear your having a lot of hardship, life's hard you just have to deal with things one step at a time. You weigh 70.6 kg, that's not bad for a 16/17 year old, I'm 16 and weigh 67 and I'm physically fit. This may be a case that you lack muscle or are shorter than me (6 ft). I think all you need is more exercise, you shouldn't time your exercise........just do it. Have an active lifestyle (cycling, running, swimming etc) and you can eat what the hell you want. Then you can laugh at your sister (;

Calculate your Base Metabolic Rate (link below) and ensure you eat fewer calories per day than that value by writing down the food types and quantities you eat. If you are like most people, the exercise only burns a few hundred extra calories a day. Sitting at the computer or in class uses an energy value close to the BMR so use that as a benchmark. The second link will tell you how many calories are in the foods you eat. You'll want to get a scale for cooking at home.

It takes a deficit of 3500 calories to burn one pound of fat. You should be able to do 1lb every 3-4 days if you show some discipline with the foods and quantities you eat. Good luck.
