Question: Does this sound like a healthy diet for me to lose 10 pounds in a month or two? i'm 12?
Okay so in the morning before school at 6:30 or 7:00 my mom makes me a orange/carrot smoothie. Than at school I don't eat at all. I get out at 3:15. Than when I get home I eat a meal like soup or something and soda. Than I eat random snacks like chips or something. Than I eat one more meal before bed and I go to sleep. And I workout a little bit on weekends, I do 100 bicycles, 100 squats, 100 sit ups, 20 push ups, and I run in place for 5 minutes and I spend like 30 minutes dancing to random music. I really wanna lose 10 pounds in a month or two. I am 12, i'm 4'9", and I weigh like 98 pounds. Please don't say I don't need to lose weight i know I don't NEED to but i WANT to. Please help thanks.

i know you are going to hate me saying this but you are perfect just the way you are your weight is just right for your height and age when i was 12 which was just last year i weighed like 103 106 i wish i was that size .......but i wasn't and i looked just fine but it wouldn't hurt to get in shape so maybe work out for like 30 minuets EVERY! day if possible and eat one! good meal for dinner. Look up on the internet how much of certain foods you should be eating so try portioning out your food. my mom a few years ago did just that and lost weight.
i hope i helped! im 13 so i kinda understand how you feel but like i said YOU DONT NEED TO LOOSE WEIGHT! and eat lunch at school we are supposed to eat 3 meals a day and maybe a snack or 2



Your plan sounds good, but I would advise eating something at lunch.
Expert nutritionists say it's healthy to have 4-6 small meals, or snacks, a day, not getting to full or empty. What your eating sounds like a good choice, just remember to have other healthy food choices, fruits, vegetables, wheat, and/or dairy products. (if you want)
Your exercise plan sounds good as well.
Remember to drink plenty of water.



If your only 12 and weigh 98 pounds you really shouldn't be loosing to much weight it's not good for your body, but what is good is eating 3 meals a day including lunch and not snacks like chips and soda. A good snack I like is melted peanut butter over a chopped up banana, it fills u up and it's good for u. But good work with the exercise, you will prob gain muscle in exercise any way and gain muscle weight.

Breakfast is good. Oh my gosh eat at school instead of having the soup. Soup has a LOT of sodium and makes it hard to lose weight. Your workout plan is okay... Do a half hour if cardio. Cardio is the best way to lose weight/fat. The chips are all carbs! Dont eat chips if your trying to lose weight... Thats crazy!



Not eating a meal in school at lunch time isn't healthy, that wont help you lose weight. Also, I'd drop the soda and random snacking on chips and such, just because you exercise doesn't mean you can eat junk food. Good luck sweetie.



Cut out the chips and other starchy or sugary snacks. Replace them with fresh fruits and raw veggies. This alone will produce weight loss. Also, it's "thEn", not thAn.



ok i know u dont want me to say anything but i have to...sweetie ur not fat at all....in fact i think u might be a little too skinny...anyways i would have to disagree i really dont think ur diet is really helpful. it is always best to eat regular meals. ur breakfast sounds fine...but u should eat around noon....( the later u eat the more calories u abrorb) and then have supper....u should also try u know to eat heakthier stuff like carrots....juice and chicken....healthy stuff instead of chips and soda. if u just eat heakthier ur body will lose about tht amount of weight on its own u dont need to worry about calories and stuff...just try to eat more healthy stuff....u should check out the food pyramid it sorta shows u what to eat to stay healthy....anyway honestly i really dont think u should lose weight because at 12 ur body is still growing....which means tht as long as u eat healthy ur body will slim down on its own cuz u r growing taller but u wont lose pounds cuz as u grow ur body mass will increase....anyway hope this helped http://www.lebanondiet.org/i/food-pyrami…



The not eating at school is a problem...any longer than 5 hours with no food and your body assumes it's starving...so it stores EVERYTHING as fat, in case there isn't more food coming, you know there's more coming...but your body doesn't...so it protects itself.

Random snacks...chips etc. are purely garbage, empty calories, you do better off without them. If you're going to snack, make sure it's something that's going to give you the most "bang for your buck" in other words, the most nutrient value for the calories you're taking in. A piece of fruit or some veggies are perfect for that.

As for your excercise...as long as you're getting 30 minutes solid a day (doesn't matter doing what, and as a matter of fact it's good to switch it up so that you're not doing the same routine every day, you fall into a rut, and your exercise is less effective.)

Even if you don't wind up losing the 10 lbs...if you're eating and excersising properly, your body will take what it needs, and it will find it's "right weight" not the one that you determine, or anyone else for that matter.

i am just like you! last year in 6th grade i weighed about the same or little bit more but i was taller. this schedule isnt exactly accurate because of the snacks. ok so what i did was in the morning, i had nothing. and at lunch i didnt eat anything either until i got home at like 2;30. when i go home i ate whatever my mom had made for dinner and then didnt have a big dinner in the evening. i had something light like maybe some yogurt or some ice cream or something just creamy and something good but not like bread. in the weekends, you can eat like burger king or mcdonalds and stuff and have regular meals but make sure to keep under 2000 calories. oh did i mention i did about half an hour of dancing on the weekdays? that really helped and i did about 50 situpss. i lost about 13 pounds. dont snack much and have about 1 or 2 meals and ONLY a creamy or liquidy snack before bed. dont drink soda but since you wont eat at school or have breakfast, eat when you get home or youll feel weak.

you got a good workout. but you need to organize what you eat. okay so let's start in the morning. add apple, pair and strawberry to the smoothie. pack a lunch with you. cut up veggies and fruit. when you get out of school at 3:15. so i going to assume you get home around 4:00. so 4:00-4:15 should be your snack time. like some fruit and water. now also if you want to loose a lot of fat. then drink three bottles of water a day one right when you wake up, one at lunch and one at dinner. now for dinner don't eat canned soup at all. what you need to do is eat healthy so go to the store buy chicken flavoring for soup, some eggs and little tomatoes.

step one: cut five small tomatoes in half.

step two: stir the egg the egg to where its just yellow yoke.

step three: boil the water in a medium sized pot.

step four: when the water is boiling through in the chicken flavoring and small tomatoes. (wait five minutes and keep stiring while your waiting)

step five: take a spoon and scoop the egg yoke one spoon full at a time until there is nothing left.

Hi I'm a 13 year old girl, I was exactly your size and I tried to diet and got carried away and became anorexic. I look back at pictures from before and I now realize that I had a beautiful body and now my bones stick out and it's ugly. I will never forgive myself. I'd do anything to go back. If you diet too much at a young age, you will ruin your metabolism and you will only grow up to be a fatty because not eating makes your metabolism slow down and when you are older you will become so fat. If you are going to diet at all, I would say cut your portions but don't fat all morning, it will only make you store more fat when you eat in the afternoon. Basically, you will be hungry and uncomfortable all day and it won't so anything for you. But honestly you are not overweight and you're on the lower end of what's considered "normal" so you should love who you are and forget about silly diets.

No, it doesn't sound healthy at all.

- You're not eating enough calories.
EAT at school. There IS lunch.

- You're exercising a lot.
While this would normally not be bad, you're not eating enough to exercise like that.
You'll do your body more harm than not.

- You're already a healthy weight.
You're growing. You're going to get taller and wider. We all go through it.
if you feel like you're "chubby" now, chances are you're going to grow out of it.
Don't screw up your metabolism by doing this.
Enjoy being a kid. Eat healthy (and more of it) and exercise by doing SPORTS.
Believe me, if I were 12 again, I'd use it to my advantage and get really good at a sport so that I get a head start. (I'm 14, by the way, and I'm already a little behind because I'm just now starting some.)

Now, normally, I wouldn't even answer silly questions like this. But I don't want you hurting yourself.
