Is it bad that I NEVER eat breakfast or lunch?!


Question: Is it bad that I NEVER eat breakfast or lunch?
Okay so I'm 13 and weigh around 105 pounds.I feel fat and ugly so I am trying to loose weight.But;that's not the only reason why I don't eat breakfast or lunch,I also have teeth problems so I just dont want to have a tooth ache.Well I never eat breakfast or lunc(this started in third grade)Can that hurt me?(By the way;I do eat at home) and Why do they say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day?(I never eat breakfast and yet I get all A's and I am smart)Also;Can you give me tips/advice about loosing weight?Thank you

Skipping meals slows up your metabolism and leads to gaining weight. By avoiding breafkast or lunch your body will go into starvation mode. If your teeth hurt when you chew you may want to try at least digesting protein shakes or something that will allow you to have energy. My sister was just like you and then she gained 20 lbs over the course of 2 years and is now slowly dieting and excercising to lose. Eating breakfast kickstarts your day by giving you the necessary energy to stay alert. And while you may not feel it now (you're only 13, which is relatively young) you will feel it in the next few years if you start to skip meals (I'm 16, if I don't eat breakfast I sleep through all of my classes, which results in lower grades)

Just because you can get away with it now, does not men that these rituals and diets are healthy or correct! Good luck and edit your question if you have any other questions for me!

Edit: Also, if you are feeling fat you may try running to help tone up. Strength excercises will help you feel less 'fat', and part of you feeling so fat and ugly is probably attributed to not getting the right nutrients your body needs!

EDIT TWO: I know that it sounds weird to say- but you need to decide what is more important: your overall health or your toothache. I understand that these may be extremely painful and you may think "well, its fine if i dont eat this because then it wont hurt" but in the longrun you may severely damage your body. I used to try to skip meals because I had this major stomach issue, and whenever I ate it literally sent me on the floor, screaming and crying in pain. But after a while I learned that by skipping meals, as I was doing, was making me gain weight and be more irritable. Eventually I learned to eat certain meals and deal with the pain, because my overall health, not my stomach ache, was the important part. So before each meal try taking a motrin or tylenol (talk to your parents about this first) and they'll set you up with pain pills that will be right for your age/height/weight/etc. By taking the medication before actually eating, you may avoid the problem more. However, if you continue to skip breakfast and lunch you will suffer more problems later on down the line. (:
