The Special K diet screwed me over?!?!

Question: The Special K diet screwed me over?!?
'Kay so I do the special k diet for a month and a half, never breaking it or anything and the result? Half a stone of weight. HALF A FRICKIN STONE! It's not even muscle or anything. And it's not like I don't do any exercise 'cause I do. I'm 5 foot 2, half a stone is alot. I am so pissed right now.
So why has it turned out like this? Is it something to do with my metabolism or something?

Answers:

When i try to lose a few pounds, I STAY AWAY FROM THE SCALE. Reason being: When i work out I always gain weight. But when i have someone measure me with tape, i notice that i have lost inches.
Use measuring tape to determine your results. Here's a video to tell you how:

Also, as a woman, you are subject to lose and gain small bits of weight throughout the month by way of water retention. If you have to weight yourself, make sure its just after you wake and after you've menstruated.

There's no such thing as "The Special K Diet"-- it's a marketing ploy.
According to your other posting (and factoring in your weight loss), you weigh 121 and are 5'2", that's perfect for your height. Your body apparently doesn't want to lose any more weight healthily, so unless you're cheating and eating junk, stop putting unreasonable expectations on yourself.
You said yourself, "I'm 5 foot 2, half a stone is alot", be proud of yourself and worry about important things.

Or did you put ON 1/2 stone? If so, you are totally cheating on your "diet".

EDIT:
Start keeping a food diary and write down EVERYTHING you eat. There are apparently several hundred "secret" calories sneaking into your mouth daily.

This goes back to not understanding your body or the diet.

The special K diet incorporates increased fluid consumption and an increased fiber intake as many conventional healthy diets will). Fiber can hold on to water and your body is over all, better hydrated from the increased intake. This can easily explain an increase in weight between 5-20 lbs. This is part of the reason that the scale is not the best indicator of the success of a diet. Like wise, many "crash diets" that help lose weight quickly, only eliminate the bowels and dehydrate you. This gives the false impression that crash diets work and proper nutrition does not.

The best indicator of success on this sort of diet is to actually measure your body fat or two measure your hips, thighs, waist, chest, bust and arms. Don't be concerned with the weight. The body composition is much more important. 5-10 lbs of water weight does not have add any significant difference to how you look, 10 lbs of fat does.

Who cares if you gained 10 lbs if you are actually smaller and in better shape. Don't be discouraged by common diet misconceptions.

EDIT
All diets that are ploy for profit. No one here believes that Atkins, Dugin, Weight Watchers, etc etc don't do anything for the money. Of course they do, and Special K is no different. This does not necessarily indicate they are not effective.

No one does anything for free.
