First and foremost, congratulations on making the decision to get lose weight and get healthier. You are absolute right in your initial approach that it all starts inside out with eating healthy. This is the single biggest factor in weight loss, but more importantly, overall health. The consistent exercise of 30 minutes a day will magnify the health and weight loss benefits from eating well.

It is tough with the information provided to know if you will reach your goal. Depending upon your starting weight, it is definitely possible. Especially if you remain consistent with the program.

A couple things to note:

A great way to increase weight loss is through a varied exercise program. Each day, try and do something different, even if that means walking a different speed, incline, or path. That change will impact your body in a different way and will keep the body from becoming too comfortable in a set routine everyday. Also, having worked out for years, I can attest, nothing is better than doing a new workout everyday, it keeps me excited and very motivated.

Your food (caloric) intake might be a little low depending upon the serving sizes for each meal. It is important during periods of weight loss and increased exercise to make sure you are getting enough vitamins, minerals, and nutrients (in particular, macronutrients). There are many food calorie calculators online that will help you keep track of calories to make sure you maximize the value of the food you take in from a nutrition standpoint.

With the food, you can find a lot of great alternatives to the foods you have mentioned. Variety in the diet will help keep your taste buds from getting bored. Think about other vegetables you could throw into the mix or fruits instead of bananas and apples. There are a lot of fruits that have amazing flavor and nutrients, without adding more calories. Over time, you will find that you are able to develop a wide arsenal of 250-500 calorie meals that taste great and provide you with the feeling of being full.

Next, I have noticed your plan is short on protein. The protein from the peanut butter is good and there is some protein in the tortilla and rice meals, but it is very low overall. The FDA suggests 50 grams of protein per 2000 calories consumed. Seeing as your diet is very low on calories, it might still be best to get between 40-50 grams of protein per day (spread out over 3-5 meals) in order to keep your muscles strong and your physical endurance up. Protein is a macronutrient that plays an extremely important function in the body and is something you should watch carefully during weight loss as it is easy to not include in meals. A good thing to do would be to add lean proteins, like chicken, turkey, shrimp (watch out for cholesterol) to the salad each not. Not a lot, but the rough equivalent of 15 grams. That will help your body recovery during the night as you rest and will also stave off hunger cravings through the night. You can also look to protein beverages to meet your protein needs for the day. They are great because you can carry them and drink them on the go. Watch out for how much protein is in the drink, try and limit it to 10-15 grams per bottle. Also, look for all-natural ingredients and only those drinks that use Whey Protein Isolate.

Overall, I think you have a good chance at losing that 30lbs and being much healthier for it. Just track the food you eat, continue to do the exercise, and add a little protein to one of the meals.

ceo, Spartos all-natural protein water

the problem is that your eating the things that you arent suppose to eat. for example the carrots, patatoes and bannanas dont allow your body to lose wait. only eat one fruit a day and no tortillas or bread. eat alot of sea food like fish and vegies and if you have the feeling you need something sweet, go for a sugar free candy.
trust me i did this and i lost 20 pounds the first month.(i did it without exercise)
oh and drink alot of water
