Is it healthy to only drink fruits and vegetable juices and water everyday inste!

Question: Is it healthy to only drink fruits and vegetable juices and water everyday instead of solid food to lose?
weight since liquids digest faster than solid food

Answers:

No, juicing is a bad idea for anyone, especially dieters. The problem with juicing is the process eliminates much of the fiber and some of the nutrition available in the fruits and vegetables. However, it passes on the sugars and calories in concentrated form. The result is you miss the normal digestive processes and the satisfaction that goes with it so you'll be hungry sooner. What you throw away when you clean your juicer is part of your food and that's not only part of what you're paying for, it's part of what your body needs.

Also, when you drink your juice it goes much faster because there is no mastication involved. That makes it easy to dump the sugars into your stomach before your blood glucose increases and suppresses your appetite. So, you can drink the juice and get all the fructose of ten oranges in half the time it takes you to eat one orange making eating rather than drinking the obvious best choice for dieters and the best way to get all nutrition the fruits and veggies have to offer.

Good luck and good health!!

I actually had to go on a mostly liquid diet for about four months because of ridiculous hardware for my braces, and I would not recommend it for weight loss. Sure you will drop some pounds, but your digestive system is meant for solids, not pure liquids. You could actually cause permanent damage to some of your organs if you make that a long term diet change. If you want to try that approach to loosing weight, eat more soup. You get the substance and nutrition of a meal, but over half of it is water so really you are consuming less food. Also shoot for lots of fiber; those types of foods are typically low in calories and fiber moves through your system and helps keep everything flowing smoothly. Just be sure to read the nutrition facts and see that what you're about to eat isn't too unhealthy.

More about liquid diets: like I said, your body is designed to handle substances, so if you suddenly feed it only liquids it will go into starvation mode. Not only will your metabolism slow WAY down, but you will feel miserable as well. Besides, if you're going to drink the juices, you may as well eat the whole fruit/vegetable and get the nutrition of the whole thing instead of just the sugar and juices.

Personal experience + my dad tried that exact same thing and failed miserably

No. Unless it's the start point of a detox. You could do that if you like as it is meant to kick start weight loss.

In general terms there really isn't any point in losing weight with stupid diets that you can't sustain because as soon as the diet's over you'll most likely put the weight back on. The only way you will keep the weight off is if you're changing your perception of food as you're losing weight. For example I used to try ridiculous plans that I just couldn't stick with. I'd lose a few pounds but I would always give up the diet and end up putting the weight back on. Now I eat foods that I enjoy but are healthy as well. For example toast and peanut butter for breakfast, jacket potato and beans for lunch and homemade honey-glazed chicken with pasta and veg for dinner (yes I could never give up carbs!) They probably aren't the best foods for losing weight but I enjoyed them and I wasn't eating too much!
Also if you're not eating enough you don't have enough energy to exercise. Which I find was a very important aspect in my weight loss, not only for burning calories but for motivation, because even though it makes you gain weight initially you notice you look more toned and are stronger and fitter so you don't want to ruin that through eating badly.
Also it meant I could eat a little chocolate then look at the calories and burn them off :D

Seriously it's so important to change the way you think about food. I used to eat massive chocolate bars and giant bags of crisps everyday. Now the thought of it makes me want to be sick. I just can't buy much more than a small bar. So don't follow this juicing plan it isn't healthy and even if you lose weight it probably won't stay off.
Good luck x

You could try a detox like this:

I have read that if you are in good health, it should be relatively safe for you to go on a liquid diet for up to four days. After four days experts recommend having someone supervise you (due to concerns about blood sugar stability and whatnot).

Amazing! Hope it helps http://yourcares.info/126312/fruit-and-vegetables
