Can you recommend a good BASIC step workout DVD?!
Question: Can you recommend a good BASIC step workout DVD?
I have lost 36 pounds by walking and cutting my calories. I started out walking 3 miles a day and shortly worked my way up to 5. For the last 2 weeks I have been walking 8 miles a day but I hit a plateau and am barely sweating even after 8 miles. I know it is because my body is so used to the walking and I am burning much less calories. I have walked 149 miles JUST THIS MONTH and have only lost 2 lbs. It is SO frustrating.
I finally broke down and bought a step at Wal-mart but there was no step DVD to go with it. So I randomly chose one on Amazon. It was by a dude named Gilad. Within 10 minutes I was dripping in sweat. Yay! It felt so good to be pushing my body. I can already tell I am in love with step aerobics. But I am NOT in love with Gilad.
After 15 minutes or so he started doing all these hops and turns that I am WAY to uncoordinated to be able to do. I felt like I was doing Dancing with the Stars on the step or something.
I am not afraid to work hard. I will step until I DROP. But I need a step workout video/instructor that will not be trying to do fancy moves on the step.
I am after all just a beginner and even though I have lost 36 lbs I still weigh over 200 lbs. So I need something without all the bells and whistles.
Can you recommend something for me that fits my needs?
Thank you.
