Question: How to help my fiance to lose weight?
I know that he wants to lose weight and I'm trying to encourage him and help him but its hard.
He is 23 years old and weights around 240lbs. I try to make healthy snacks for him and encourage exercising but not working out too good. When we have our meals, his plate is much, much larger then mine and he wanted to try not eating anything after 8pm and that failed too. He has a big belly with new red stretch marks and we just need some helpful healthy tips on how to help him lose weight? Thanks

You need to give him something to look forward to. Maybe if he can successfully lose the weight, you guys will go on a nice vacation where he wants to go. Since you guys are married, you two need to support each other in times of need. It sounds like you are really trying to do so. As a man, I admit at times we can be stubborn, but when it comes to a healthy life, I try to be the healthiest that I can. You just need to maybe talk to his friends and see if they can ease up on going out to the bar every other night and eat unhealthy foods. Show him what can happen if he continues this lifestyle of being overweight like diabetes, heart attacks, etc. Hopefully one of these things will open his eyes to a healthier and more enjoyable lifestyle. My husband is 24 years old and we are in a very similar situation. He doesn't talk about his weight, but occasionally he'll say something that tells me he's uncomfortable with it. Do you make the dinners? Maybe make smaller amounts so after you get your portion there isn't enough for him to overfill his plate? ( I just thought of this and will be trying it at home =D )
One thing that has helped is that we have been exercising together. It's nice to have a scheduled block of time together and it breeds healthy competition.

The best thing about water is that is has no calories at all.
