Question: I need a weight loss exercise plan!! I have SCOLIOSIS (only answer if you are familiar with this)?
I am 17 years old. My height is 5,4. I weight 150 lb. I want to weigh 115
Im starting to eat really healthy (5 meals a day, only meat, fish, chicken and eggs, with lots of veggies, and once in a while fruits and sprouted grains, etc.)
I have SCOLIOSIS so take that in mind.

I have mild scolisis (but silly me, i havent had it checked since i was 15 and i probably should). How about swimming? Choose exercise that does not do too many weird twisting movements for your back. (Remember though you should consult your doc ok).

One Boiled egg a day with a sprinkle of salt.
2 cups of green tea
2 pieces of fruit (slice up nicely so you will appreciate it more)
8 raw almonds
1 canned tuna in springwater
2litres of water a day

Exercise when you wake up - 40minutes brisk walking using hills also
Exercise in afternoon - 40minutes brisk walking

Listen to upbeat (salsa) music while exercising.

TAke a photo of yourself to follow your progress - take a before photo 'trying' to squeeze into your favourite jeans that shows you cant zip them up. Visually have the goal that you are going to soon take an 'after' photo with you fitting them.

But you sound like you are healthily. good luck. Just be patient!



Hi, I came from a medical background, mingle with doctors in during my service time.

The diet should not be an issue for you as you can eat normally or take part in any diet plan which has not much effect on your diagnosis.

The only thing that will bother you is the extra food energy to gain via eating excess food and due to your medical condition.Depending on your seriousness of your scoliosis, they are certain exercise which is not good for you like jogging, weight lighting. That confirm your exercise options and that translate that you cannot eat excess food as it will affects your health tremendously.

Swimming is a recommended exercise, but do in moderation as excess swimming make you hungry and you will eat more, Good thing is that swimming burns more fat and take care of your back more. A lot of national swimmer has scoliosis, but they still look fit and nice.

Hey. I have scoliosis and am 23. I use to weigh 190 and I am the same height as you. I am now 135 pounds and i have realized a lot stuff through my weight lose journey. Did you know yoga helps improve your scoliosis? It stretches out your spine and helps to make your spine stronger. I do bikram yoga and I have noticed a difference. It will also help you tone up and increase your metabolism. In addition to eatting healthy, try to incorporate some Cardio in your lifestyle. Be active, i know that may be hard because your most likely in school. But try to do some cardio, weights and yoga when possible (3-5 days a week, atleast!)
